1. Nintendo still thinks its great to carry a handheld with two screen as big as two devices it self.

2. Every human wants to carry as less as he can, why a smartphone and a handheld if you could get a psp phone

3. Apple iphone and ipad have no buttons.

4. PSP phone is using android, and google is the power. Sony can use the service from google.

5. You can buy the psp phone for 0 bucks in every phonestore for a monthly fee, with the 3ds you cant do that.

6. People actually dont play handhelds anymore outside, games got too complicated in the last years, mobil phones are the true mobile gaming devices in this generation. A handheld phone would bring sony back to the roots.

7. They could use the touchscreen as another controll.

8. Apple products are too expensive.

9. Sony can use all their library from virtual store, ngage failed because of the games. When sony brings their device out it already has enough good games.

10. If psp phone is a success they could just share the concept to other companies for money to making phones with sonys buttons and using their store.

1. Nintendo still thinks its great to carry a handheld with two screen as big as two devices it self. Ripping another company is why PSP Phone will be great?

2. Every human wants to carry as less as he can, why a smartphone and a handheld if you could get a psp phone The phone is huge by todays smartphone standards

3. Apple iphone and ipad have no buttons.

4. PSP phone is using android, and google is the power. Sony could also use the service from google

5. You can buy the psp phone for 0 bucks in every phonestore for a monthly fee, with the 3ds you cant do that. Last time you saw a flagship smartphone go for $0?

6. People actually dont play handhelds anymore outside, games got too complicated in the least years, mobil phones are the true mobile gaming devices in this generation. A handheld phone would bring sony back to the roots.

7. They could use the touchscreen as another controll. ????????

8. Apple products are too expensive. Trolololol. How does this support your arguement, PSP phone is probably gonna be the same price as iPhone

9. Sony can use all their library from virtual store, ngage failed because of the games. When sony brings their device out it already has enough good games.

10. If psp phone is a success they could just share the concept to other companies for money to making phones with sonys buttons and using their store.

Reason why a lot of people won't buy it. Battery life. Android is notoriously bad when it comes to battery longevity. Combining PSP quality games with that mess hardly seems like a good idea. PSP isn't something I would play in short bursts like iPhone games. I don't want to kill my cell phone battery with a 2 hour session of God of War. This phone, at best, will satisfy the niche market of Android/PSP fanboys who only like to play PSP games for short bursts in fear of killing their cellphone battery.

1. As true as that is, in Japan it's not uncommon for them to carry more than one mobile devices, or even have more than ONE cell phone. Different cultures, as for us. Handhelds can still be entertaining if the right software is on it. Nintendo has proven this already, which is how they attracted the casual market everyone is after.

2. ^^ Read above applies to both.

3. That didn't stop games like Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, and more to sell over 1 million in sales. If the games are smart, they can make a good interface without relying on buttons.

4. Android is just an OS, it won't make the service any better. As an OS it's fine, but it doesn't mean squat for the PSP phones store which will likely connect to PSN which if the PSP Go is any indication, won't matter cause prices aren't going down for older games.

5. Making payments, and being continually charged for your phone can be a great way to start off, but it's never free. What do you do when your contract ends or you want a new phone? How will the PSP phone matter then? What about your games when you swap to a PSPhone 2?

6. I still play my handhelds, granted I play them outside on one of two occassions, either if I'm going on a long road trip and I don't want to kill my phone or if I'm playing with friends at school Handhelds are still great devices that fill certain peoples needs. Also I play them at home too I admit, but why wait to go somewhere to play a great game? I'd rather not kill my phone and most phone devices die within a few hours of play.

7. The touch pad can be useful, but it's about the same thing as playing with your laptop. If you're talking about using the screen itself, how is that any different than using the iPhone or other devices? IF you've ever played the DS, performing both touichscreen actions and buttons on different planes isn't too fun.

8. Doesn't stop them from selling. Apple products are the status quo right now. That's why they have 51 BILLION dollars to spend.

9. True, sony has this. This is their strongest point. How well they do it has yet to be seen as the PSP Go is evidence that it wasn't so great.

10. They could, problem is will they? Will companies want to pay royalties to make the phone with PSP buttons and pay royalties when people buy access games from their markets or whatever else Sony puts up? I'd like to see Samsung use it though, as Ericssons have terrible quality.

Doesn't stop the fact that the OS is draining battery, because the Android OS WILL be. The reason battery life tends to suck on them is because Android devices tend to run things in the background even when you think you have closed it. Plus they eat up your RAM. So this could potentially make games sluggish or slower even, and last but not least. It's a cell phone, if you don't know, your signal will be on at all times so you can receive calls. That alone will drain your battery while playing if you managed to stop the other things like background running apps and memory hogging programs.

Sorry but I don't want to have to pay $80-$90 a month for a phone, even one with a real gaming system. Maybe if they release a PSP pay-per-use phone...

Think about how much you'll end up paying for the hardware with a 2 year contract. $1,500 +. lol, that's with no games.

Agreed. It has potential and I hope it proves me wrong but I personally think that it's not going to do very well.

The Go! has been an embarrassing failure. Sticking a phone into it won't make it any better for games, and very few wanted it for games, so how is this a good idea?

DS Lite closed is a pretty good size, and when using it who cares? After that first point I stopped reading. Criticizing the king on handheld gaming, Nintendo knows best, 3D handheld no glasses is the next big thing. PSP Phone whilst cool is another smartphone.

But the current PSP's can already make calls via Skype. :P Again, this is a PSP-style smartphone, not a PSP with a phone in it.

I think my second point is what im trying to get across the most. SONY has been rather disconnected this gen and kinda messed alot of things up or didnt follow through on them. I love em and all still, but this is true.

Do you have a droid phone.? Because i have a Captivate and there is a free app call Advance task killer, which can download from the market that will kill any app running,i know i kill anything not useful to me and kill anything after using it you can even kill the own app until you need it latter.

Uhhh, if you havent noticed, the iPhone sells @ $200....like Droid X, Droid 2, and EVO.....those are all flagship smartphones
