Why?
To be fair for me there's still Killzone 2 and God of War 3, but the first Killzone flopped and who knows when GOW3 is coming out.
Yep, looks like I won't regret selling my ps3 for a 360 after all.8)

I say buy a 360 and PS3, then be a happy camper. RROD, YLOD, DRE... pfft! Real gamers put up with the BS to get their gaming goodness.BioShockOwnz
No they don't. I have never had a console break on me except my DS which i threw
hmmm lets do the real math here
xbox360 - $299 + tax = $330
blue ray player - average $150 + tax = $165
now add those together and you get $495
and you spent almost $500 and still can't play little big planet, valkyria chronicles, MGS4, resistance and a host of others.
and chances are your video game system will be RROD'ed in a short amount of time. lets not forget the $50 a year for live

I find it quite funny when people feel a need to justify their actions. TC traded in his ps3 for an Xbox 360 and claims that this plus a cheap blue ray player is a wiser choice than just owning a ps3. So the games don't matter. All the great exclusives that ps3 are offering now, and that are coming don't count, or the multiplats don't matter? Are you saying that a blue ray player is necessary and should be a feature included in all consoles, but since the 360 doesn't offer it you should go out and purchase a player?
i don't understand what you are trying to bash here. 360 has great exclusives, so does ps3. It's a matter of preference. This is opinion. What is not opinion is the fact that t he ps3 console offers more funcitionality and features to gamers, both casual and hardcore. it offers reliable software (can't say the same for 360), offers one of the best blueray players in the market (since it can be consistently up to date with firnware), and offers internet browsing, and other multimedia functions I won't get into. Oh and a biggie, free online gaming! 360 offers great games (many multiplat) and a different type fo gaming experience. It's the same as me saying I don't need a 360, i have a ps3 and gaming console----see what just happened there. if you are happy with y our 360 great, your choice and opinion. Don't try to justify it by stating that a 360 and a cheap 100 pounds (not dollars) blueray player makes owning a ps3 null. your opinion and, not a very smart one if you ask me. Hope you purchased an in store warranty on your 360.
I'm not one to judge but selling your PS3 for a 360? :oMightyMuna
R2 sucked. MGS4 was good, but I have no desire in playing through it again after beating it the first time. Playstation Network kept randomly logging me out(don't know if it was the network or my wireless connection that works flawlessly with my 360 wireless adapter). Although free psn is crap compared to live Nobody talked on what few games offered online multiplayer. Uncharted, HS, and R&C were all mediocre imo with no replay value. Not interested in LBP. The rest of the games that interested me on ps3 were multiplat most of which were superior on 360. I also am not a big movie collector and for damn sure ain't dishing out $25 for a hi def movie. Yeah $1 rental dvd on an upscaled dvd player is good enough for me.
PS3 has exclusives that cant be found anywhere else.
360 has exclusives that can be found on the pc.
$300 to upgrade a PC= why even buy a 360?
see i can do it to
100GBP? So that's $200 in US money, $550 altogether if you include XBL. I notice that the TC hasn't replied since making his opening post.Floppy_JimI was bored. Oh well let the thread die then and I'll take my self ownage tomorrow once everybody has forgotten, please.

Texas, its actually 8.5% here, but depending on where you live the tax can fluctuate
RROD?MightyMunaJasper GPU already being installed in new XBox 360. The RROD issue will be over by the end of the year. I already own a PS3, so there's no need of me getting a Blu-Ray player. I have only 3 Blu-ray movies which came with the 60GB PS3 when I bought it on EBay. I'm still sticking with DVD's for now. See no reason to get Blu-Ray movies yet.
A $100 Blu-Ray is not going to be of the same quality as the PS3. PS3 has great upscaling, persistant storage space, support for multiple sound configuations and otuput formats, and (most importantly) the ability to gain new functionality via firmware updates.Teufelhuhnpeople in the market for a $100 blu-ray player are not concerned about quality.

I was just making the point that it's not really a comparable replacement for the PS3's Blu-Ray capabilities.
1) the ps3 is still the best blu ray player on the market with the sound, plus its upgradeable.
2) the games, like Killzone 2
3) the free online until the end of this gen and beyond

well, that Blu-Ray is actually 100 pounds, which is more like $200. also, did you not enjoy MGS4, LBP, Resistance 1 and 2, Uncharted, or Motorstorm
Not any more, the pound has gone to **** vs the dollar. In like July august it was at £1 - $2, now its more like £1.50 = $2. £100 is currently $146.
