Just that some people will not go online to complain, they will just call Sony directly. So there are probably more than 7 or 9 failures. Still a certain amount of failures are expected with launch consoles.

For comparison, the RROD360 had a 30% failure rate.

Like I said earlier in this thread. If you took the number of actual known broken PS4s and doubled that number, then doubled that number AGAIN we would be up to 1%. In statistics, there are assumptions and then there are acceptable ranges. I'll let you decide which side of the court this falls on. You are more than free to take the information and draw your own conclusion.

The article has already been debunked. It was an non scientific survey. It would be like asking on here how many 360s have you had RRoD on you. All the PS fanboys would say they have had 10+ 360 consoles break. Square Trade, a company that actually repairs broken consoles said the rate is closer to 24%. Still bad, but no where near 54%

@Shewgenja: : on the real im getting a ps4 but am def weary of the first batch. Its really not smart to ever get a launch console. Last night with those kids trying to fix the ps4 was some of the funniest shit ever. I wish he formatted when he had the chance.

If the first batch is borked, I'll just ship it back to Sony for a new one. I had to do this 5 times with the 360 and 2 times with the PS3.

No need to worry as long as the failure rate stands below 3%.

The failure rate at launch right now is at 0.4% to give you an example the 360s on day one was like 23%. The PS3's was around 10%.

this is so funny yall giving out percents of failure rates when ign didnt get their machine from the taco bell batch or did game stores where other ps4s are dead stop the madness who ever buy that on launch is a dummy.
