That's a good thing in my eyes, less camping!

Are you an 80's baby or what? When was the last Timsplitters made?
2005 you lem
Exactly, hasn't even seen another game since. I was referring to 80's babies as the ones who were old enough and grew up around Timesplitters.
haha point n click is soo out dated and lame. calls console fps's competitive.. calls pc fps's old and lame.. allow to tell you what i think of your thumbsticks.. in video!:[QUOTE="Omega-316"]

That's the point of mouse and keyboard, even the worst PC gamer such as yourself thinks their good.
Look's rather meh. Not bad, but not interesting either.

This should be most people's reaction.

[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"] What is so bad about it?
You can see through walls, sure, but that is little benefit in a Halo game:
- You have your own radar, enemies close to you (quite far in Halo 4 actually) show up on your radar.
- It sends out a pulse so to spot people at long range it takes longer for them to show up on your visor. It will only really be good for snipers because at closer distance people show up on the radar.
- If you are aware of your radar then it won't be a problem.
So promethus vision is almost a waste of an armour ability as it doen't give a huge benefit.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a crap feature in the game, but it won't be bad.
SaltyMeatballs
I think think the point of the prometheus vision was to discourage camping. Whether or not it will actually accomplish that it is yet to be seen.
Either way I highly doubt the vision will reach the levels of awfulness that armor lock was before Reach's Title update.
I guess it can, no more crouching in a corner (the only way to camp in Halo due to the radar is by crouching). And no doubt it willnot be as awful as Armour lock.
It looks terrible though. I mean is this what Halo combat has become? People repeatedly spamming Prometheus vision? This has no place in a Halo game. It looks dumb:? Was this really needed? So far the latest videos I've seen that's all people are doing. Constant spamming of P-Vision. Just get rid of it. I think Halo 4 looks like it could be the best Halo yet but this whole x-ray vision thing is killing my excitement. Just being honest here.

And it looks like Call of Duty.
Loadouts, killstreaks, being able to see throught walls...
Oh, and to top it all off, it's a BR fest again.
Yep, Halo is dead to me.

They clearly weren't just using it out of nostalgia or anything..

Out of ignorance? I love me some Halo. Halo 4 doesn't look like Halo. It looks like Call of Duty in space.[QUOTE="EspiNY"]

Out of ignorance? I love me some Halo. Halo 4 doesn't look like Halo. It looks like Call of Duty in space.Because of loadouts?
Everyone who has played the game has said "this is most certainly Halo and not CoD" and yet all the internet warriors who haven't even played the game already deem it Call of Duty: Space. Sorry, I think I'll side with the fans who have played the game.
You're overreacting over a few videos of MLG players playing Halo. The same players who used nothing but the BR for 6 years so of course they're going to use it when they get their hands on H4 because they missed it. CE was pretty much Pistol only and Reach is a DMR focused.
So why is someone who "loves them some Halo" crying that a Halo game is one gun focused when it's always been that way? Pretend to be a Halo fan all you want. It might work on the rest of System Wars because nobody in this forum plays games, but don't try to bs me.

Halo was not always focused on the BR and frankly it was the worst thing to happen in Halo 3, especially with the BR spread, which was a stupid design decision on Bungie's part.At least Reach made most of the guns useful. The needle rifle, the pistol, and the DMR were all very good guns, and each one had a role to play, whereas in Halo 3, the BR was a God-weapon.
And pretending? B!tch, please. I don't pretend when it comes to Halo. I just don't like the direction 343 is taking the franchise in. I do not want killstreaks in my Halo.
Maybe more info will change my mind. We'll see. Hell, if they give me a playlist where all that sh!t is off, I'll be happy as a clam.
What is with the sound of kids cheering?
Vari3ty
That is the reaction from the 12 year old CoD players upon seeing this gameplay footage.
Does anybody else feel like you die alot faster in this one, or is it just that the players are good shots?

TopTierHustler
you die faster
respawn is shorter/non existant
lack of weapon spawns
loadouts...........................loadouts.....
>gets shot >runs away and waits for shield to recharge >goes back man... getting real sick of this in fps (not targeting halo..this goes for well....most competitive fps...)campzor
The difference is that it suits ther rhythm of Halo. It has always been in Halo and suits the design of the game. Most other games just use it as a cop-out.
The graphics are good for Halo standards but the level design doesn't appeal to me.
The sound quality is good but the level could use some background noise that or some epic Halo music imo.
And why you can see trough walls is beyond me. I mean that's all he does.
X ray vision :?
Hopefully that will be taken out before launch
BPoole96
I agree with this. Despite it's limited use, it seemed extremly useful around chokepoints, too much infact, that the player could just line up the shot and pop them as they come around the corner.

Even worse if someone has an energy sword and can just spot people out as they come towards them and the person literally has no choice but to die. Past Halo games had strong support from Bungie so hopefully if the community is really against it than 343 will follow suit and listen to the players.
