11/11/11 gets more awesome

As Minecraft has an official release date.

Step aside, Skyrim, another endless world of magical adventure is set to steal your spotlight. That's right, Minecraft will finally be released later this year on November 11. Of course, the official release seems a little less momentous considering there are nearly two million people enjoying the game already.

Minecraft maestro Markus "Notch" Persson notes that the "full version" of the game won't differ significantly from its current beta. In fact, it would seem that the most important distinction will simply be the removal of the "beta" label. Persson adds that the development team will continue to update the game with new features after the official release.

Also, for what it's worth, Persson notes that he's "excited" for Skyrim too.Joystiq

Even though I only play the free version (I plan on getting the paid version soon), it is still awesome.

What the heck? How on EARTH is Uncharted revolutionary??? it's a standard third-person action game with an indiana jones type attitude :/

well since I already own minecraft I guess I only need worry about Skyrim. Although U3 comes out 11/1/11 right? I also expect BF3 to drop sometime in nov. :( gonna be broke

I think it's a little odd that you can list most of my hated things as your account seems to be relatively new, but you did forget MGS. ;)

A few of those are wrong. I don't hate Guerilla by any means (I like Killzone 2 a lot, actually), I just don't think they're "TEH BEST EVAR" or what have you. I would put them above Valve as FPS devs, though. Shocking, I know. :P

As for the hate, I think BioWare and Infinity Ward have gotten much more of my ire than Uncharted has, as has Valve. Especially Valve, in fact, especially after that DOTA 2 thing, which I find flat out despicable. But that's just me. I actually had to write a blog to clarify my position on Mass Effect for people, and I haven't had to do that for Uncharted yet. I think that says something.

BF3 if EA is really dropping $100M in advertisement.

Enjoying minecraft so far, but it needs more multiplayer support :(. If I am correct, the newest patch and this one and more are not yet implemented in MP mode.

It's like putting it out to die. It should release in the summer. So many people have the beta version already, and there's a ton of hype for Skyrim. I don't know if 11/11/11 is the best choice of release date for this game.

True, but you were saying the game was going to be overlooked as if nobody liked it. Besides, Minecraft isn't really comparable to COD, nor does it have the unbeatable popularity. There also isn't 7+ Minecrafts that have taken the core gameplay and made it stale.

I will admit Minecraft has its flaws, but to call it garbage is a rather large stretch. What do you hate so much about it?

They should have released everything on 3/3.. seeing as gears of war 3, modern warfare 3, uncharted 3, ninja gaiden 3, battlefield 3... am I missing any 3's?

IMO Minecraft is probably a better game then Skyrim will be. A lot of people are hyped for it now but it will just be another dissapointment.
