$15 for CoD Map Pack is a JOKE

Pretty much, I can't fathom anyone who would buy some of this DLC they are making these days. Halo, CoD, just about every other shooter really. It is a blind rip off and If you feed the system its never going to go away. I never plan on buying these for such ridiculous prices. I'm glad to see you think 4 maps for 15$ is a good value, but after playing on the PC for all these years that Is almost a slap in the face.

People should be able to buy the maps as they please. You say they're feeding the machine, so this won't ever go away like it's some terrible thing, it doesn't affect you at all, just don't buy the damn maps then, butthe millions of people that do what them and should have the right to spend their money as they please, will be happy.

CoD made its millions on "Monkey see, monkey do" syndrome. How many of you guys would even play CoD if none of your friends or family played it? Think about that long and hard. The second you stop buying games cause of "the next person" the faster you will branch out and game in different genres and find great games over all systems.

Well I'll buy them. Black Ops is great fun, and I want all of the maps. :)

Ive put 91 hours into reach's multiplayer so far and havent bought the map pack for that, I have put less then 10 into Cod so I give 0 care about this map pack.

Also loking at it mathematically it is no more expensive per map then any other pack out there on consoles.

Can't believe console gamers have been paying this much for map packs this whole time, jeez I can get a whole game off Steam for that price. Bad Company 2 was recently $6.79 on steam! :lol:

You just realised? COD and "good pricing" don't go good together. Look at the Steam Holiday sale; none of the COD games are on sale, not even the 7 year old first. Infact, the first is the same price as the second :?.

it is ridiculous, that is why I dont buy them. I would much rather spend my nickels and dimes on steam or XBLA games

I enjoy the game and if some new maps add to the enjoyment of that game...sure why not...

It's way past the point of any DLC being free..So I'm not going to get wrapped up in trying to defuse a bomb that has already gone off..

But it does effect me when I want some new content but I have to cough up 15$ for content that I could get for FREE on my computer. How does that not have an impact on me lol?

Well, yeah. I got 4 new maps for BC2 for free, and that made me want to play the game again for about 2 hours.. I wouldn't even think about getting 4 maps for 15 bucks. Unless I didn't care about money. I'm currently thinking about getting the Vietnam expansion for BC2, which costs less than 15 bucks and is a whole lot more than just 4 new maps. Still not sure if it's worth it, though..

It's not even worth complaining about anymore. Either you're going to cough up the 15 bucks and buy the DLC or you're not, simple as that. There is no "correct" price range for DLC and never was so I don't understand why people expect certain prices for DLC. Honestly if you feel a certain way about it, don't support the maps and move on.

I know it was the same for MW2, but how can CoD fan boys still defend this? $15 for 4 maps that were probably ready to go at launch is a CRIME.

Really? There are a few in this thread..Free on my computer for years etc etc...but the cost of DLC has been brought up many times in SW and the consensus seems to be if it's not free.... then f-that...

So whats fair then if its not free ...$5... $10?

...For me I'm simply not going to worry about the additional 5 or 10 bucks that give me hours of entertainment..If people dont like it... dont buy it..or simply play the game on PC..

I played two: W@W and CoD4, whenever my old PC died and I was waiting for my new one. Never wanted to touch console CoD again. If you really love the series, you know it's at its very best on PC.
