Turn 10 released 3 Forza titles, all scored above GT5. All came with free and to buy. They supported the games their whole cycle. Forza 4 is still getting DLC. Forza 3 and 4 are considered the best racing games on consoles this gen by just about every site.

Meanwhile PD released a demo and an unfinished product. It was so bad they were usuing PGR3 pics for their ads and were so behnd in developement (7 years worth I might add) that a lot of the games cars and tetures were brough over from the PS2. Some of the tracks were GT4 tracks in HD. They came out with an official apology and released the XL version and it was still a joke.

Cows can do damage control for games like Killzone, Modnation Racers, InFamous 2, Lair, Heavenly Sword. I will never argue if they claim these games are better than what you can get on 360 or PC. I might not agree but I won't argue. But Cows trying to defend Polyphony and GT5? L ord no. Truth is I think most Cows no GT5 was a mess. It is at the point where only a few useless trolls like kuraimen (Who never played it anyways) bothers trying to argue anymore.

GT5 sucked. Deal with it.

Wow, I would say your fanboy is showing, but it would be a better description to say your unbiased point of view is actually invisible.

PD supported GT5 it's whole life as well (new career events every 2 weeks, dlc, competitions, a loto of patches), difference being the dlc for the Forza games cost a bomb, exaple being the Porsche expansion. It added a few new cars for $20. That's a third of the game when brand new. While it is nice that Turn 10 released some nice dlc for Forza, they all costed far more than they should have, resulting in me not purchasing any of that dlc. Same goes with the Forza Horizon Rally expansion (not Turn 10 I know, but still a Forza game), which costed half the price of the whole game, just for 3 or 4 more cars and a load of events.

7 years for GT5? You might want to get your facts straight with that one. If it was a 7 year evelopment cycle, then it would come out at the end of this year, yet it has actually been released for a number of years now. Also what official apology? Yes the game was lacking polish and it was flawed, but it wasn't exactly broken.

To be honest, I don't think you ever played GT5, or maybe you just read a few reviews on launch day and claimed you knew everything about the game. For instance slow menus? There hasn't been slow menus in GT5 since it was patched a few months after release, same with menu music. 

I am a fan of both GT and Forza,  I think it is stupid to claim one is a broken useless piece of crap whilst proclaiming the other is the return of the messiah. Both GT and Forza are very similar.

I personally am really looking forward to the next GT game, I think PD will have learned from their mistakes from GT5.

And the continued competition between GT and Forza I feel will really drive this genre forward (scuse the pun), giving us gamers the best games possible :)

Come on, having played all GT titles and Forza2 onwards I can honestly say both series are great..

Also those bashing GT5 are probably gamers who never played the game since after the patches & DLC packs the game improved by a considerable margin... 

but hey those who dont own a PS3 & GT5 cannot know this and they'll just base their biased opinion on a few reviews when the game launched..

Their announcement: Polyphony has discovered that 2 cars that strike each other at high speeds actually deter both cars from racing. So they will no longer pass this off as Sim racing:

Anyone noticed the cars that passed by the driver are not real ? and they are transparent meaning they are ghost cars.

Also, when the Skyline with the GT1 plate appears from a first person perspective, the whole scene was gameplay, the track AND the car.

Even the capture here looks gameplay except for the car on the right ( GTR ).

The rest I don't know it looks real with the white car being in-game model.

I admire your effort to get the thread back on track! It is confusing about what is gameplay and what is real footage, maybe that's exactly the impression PD wanted to give.

i have not bought a game that was released weeks / months ago for at least a few years now.  why would PS+ be worthwhile for me?

also, i pay for live, then pay for the games. i I don't mind paying for live, because when i bought my 360 i accepted that i had to

I'm hoping they learned from GT5 and will have less Nissans this time. I remember in an interview Mr GT did say he then realised no one cares about so many Japanese cars anymore.

I'm not sure if it was confirmed or not, I think it was just heavily rumoured though. At this point though, with a PS4 release on the horizon, it might make more sense to release on PS4 to help boost initial install base of PS4.

Forza will never get a anniversary celebration because nobody cares about it. Gran Turismo is a bigger exclusive than anything M$ has including Halo. Only Halo 3 ever matched sales of any GT game.

All of them. It is one of my favorite Sony franchises. Can't wait for GT6 later this year. What are you lems looking forward to?

Hmm true, but the release of any GT game on either platform is likely to hurt Drive Club sales. If GT6 is only released on PS3, more people will simply stick with the PS3 for longer.
