PlatinumGames tends to be very chain combo happy versus DMC. DMC has some chain combos for its characters, but Nero n Dante have 3-5 max, the rest of the combo crafting is just you the player connecting different moves. Platinum has some command moves, but you are at the mercy of the more interesting moves that are at the tail end of their chain combos to actually make any sort of interesting crafty combos.
Plus it's Platinum I bet one of the stands has a slow mo dodge ability, I bet another stand lets me parry in a timely manner, and all that jazz. I'm sure it'll be fun for a few playthroughs, but I doubt it has the depth that comes with Devil May Cry, and I'm not expecting it to stack up favorably to the first Bayonetta or The Wonderful 101 in that department either.
