I wonder what all the GT5 haters are going to say when these "bullshots" actually turn out to be the real deal
I wonder what all the cows are going to say when these bullshots turn out to be exactly what they are.
The same as all fanboys put their fingers in their ears and shout to their throats a sore and bloody that they look the same :PIt is. We kinda know what Kaz plans are. New damage, improved physics, 1000 cars... But we haven't seen it and we can't compare to other games >.[QUOTE="Wassmansdorff"][QUOTE="The_Game21x"] That's not true at all...The_Game21x
Damage hasn't been seen? Huh. Then what were all those videos I saw of GT5's damage modeling being demonstrated at GamesCom?
And I'm pretty sure patrons were able to see the improved physics model in action during that event as well...
I thought you were well informed. Kaz said that damage is a pre-build and isn't close to what the final version will have.[QUOTE="dragonfly110"][QUOTE="BPoole96"]

I thought you were well informed. Kaz said that damage is a pre-build and isn't close to what the final version will have. No, it isn't final, but it's still something to talk about, or have you not seen the coverage the GamesCom build received after its public unveiling? Going by that logic, seeing as nothing in the game is truly finished until the game goes gold and releases to manufacture. So, technically speaking, the graphics engine isn't finished either. Are you going to stop talking about that as well?I really have to LOL at those people that think these are not bullshots. And then their rationale is, "A $60 million dollar budget can do wonders." Take the blinders off.
so, basically you gt5 fanboys do this to get you by? and ignore the greatness that is forza 3? and by this i mean post and look at the fakest bullshots of anygame to ever come out, get a life.
Not FM3 good...

but it still looks very good. :) Go Polyphony!

So you're saying that those FM3 shots look better than 18 megapixel GT5 screens?

Well, i don't imagine the graphics getting better than what we've seen in GamesCom gameplay videos. And even if it does, the current one is freaking impressive, and we can talk about it. The damage shown in GamesCom was a disappointment to everyone, until Kaz said it was not close to the new damage they are working on. So why talk about the old damage?

You tried to tell me that we can't speak about it because it's not final. I provided reasons why that logic isn't sound. It's as simple as that.
It doesn't matter if you think the graphics are going to get better or not. By your logic, since it isn't final, no one can talk about it. Now, as far as the damage model goes, it also doesn't matter if it's disappointing or not. It's still a fair talking point in relation to the game, as is the car list, WRC implementation, NASCAR, etc. that just get swept under the rug in favor of talking about GT5's graphics.

Sorry, I love FM3, but it looks NOTHING like that
Look at the offsecreen comparison:
Forza 3
GT5
hey both look good, with GT5 obviously looking better, but the in-car view is just...ugly. Those screenshots you posted are a bit off from what the game truly looks like.
*Sigh* Once again people go screaming "Bullshots!" from the top of their lungs. You should know by now the Polyphony almost exclusively releases replay screens. So please don't show just how foolish you can sound in every GT/Forza/Any game with a replay mode thread.
I think its impressive how slose it has come to that target render from about a year ago. One picture was a close up of the same orange car I think.
Edit:  I post this message and what's the first thing I see? A barrage of Forza 3 screens and I think to myself: "Hmmmmm who could that be?" And low and behold its Bio just like I thought. Whats up with you people? A passionate fan posts some news and you guys have to turn it into a competition. I know this is system wars but this happens so often that posts like that have become pointless.
This was mentioned a month or 2 ago in regards to photomode.
" As with Gran Turismo 4, you're free to ogle your cars in photo mode. This time around, though, players will see their vehicles as never before. "In GT5, the level of detail on the tracks and the scenery – and also on the cars themselves – has just exponentially increased," says Yamauchi. "I think the quality of the image that you can get is going to be not even comparable. We're trying to make it so that at a minimum you'll be able to take 8 megapixel pictures. We might be able to raise it up to about 20 megapixels, but I can't promise anything." "

Both developers claim that they are using replay screens. And in both cases, the screens are obviously touched up for promotional purposes. The game will simply look much different when we play it. Forza looked different from those "replay" shots and so will GT.
*gets ready for TheGrat to invoke special pleading on GT's behalf*
Cool photomode, bro!GTR2addictI'm SOOO glad you actually realize it's photomode... While it DOESN'T represent in-game graphics, it CAN be done in retail version. That's what people don't get.
GT5 will look better than GT5p, and therefor it will be the best looking game on consoles. These are bullshots of course, they want to show of they're beautyfull car models:). And these car models are the same that will be used in-game with it's 400.000 polygons. Unlike Turn 10 who lied about the polygon count:P.

Pretty hard for me to conversate about things that have'nt happened yet now is'nt it? :) What pleading? I guess stating facts = "pleading" now. Seems like a waste of money to me, do people really expect $60m worth of extra game?
It's only what... three times the budget that Uncharted 2 apparently had? PS3 could have had three AAA titles for the price of this one game.

If GT5P is somewhat representative of how the game runs... then it will only be 1 model... I'm sure you can take GT5P with ATLEAST more than a grain of salt. Please Log In to post.
