1998: it felt so good to be a cow back then (56k - keep away)

I just believe that 1998 (or 1997-1998 era, and bits of 1999) was the apex, the peak of Playstation era...And I got mine in 1998...So, to any of you who are still cows from that point, do you feel being cow now is as good or better than back then? Or not quite? Hell, I'm not even cow anymore, and I don't remember how is it like being one :( Where is my scroll of mooing, goddamit?! :P Anyways, the feeling back then was almost legendary... Almost like such bliss won't happen anymore. I know that this is a correlation of several factors, but I still feel that very year would be hard to top, and at the moment, I'm not interested in joining cow faction...I'm not closing the doors permamently, though, but now my views are too strong to do otherwise.

Anyway, let's revive some 1997-1999 memories, some of the titles may seem random for some people, but I always liked the variety of PS1:

Blah, that's it for now...It's just a random and selected piece of PS1's 1997-1999 library...I could have added myriads of another titles as well, so don't get picky ;) Oh, and leaving out MGS and GT was deliberate :P

+1 for mentioning colony wars but all of those games pale in comparison to the best game on the PS1 i'll give you another +1 if you can guess it (hint: it's not a Final fantasy or a Metal gear)

anyone remember heart of darkness? that was actually a pretty cool game. not sure what year that was tho, and I was a little kid back when I first tried shadow man, that game was pretty disturbing, but lots of fun, its sequal was good too.

1997 owned also quake 2 :)

and 1996 quake/duke nukem 3d.

it's not just nostalgia i think the games were just more fun

Heart of Darkness was great, it's a pity it was so short created by the now defunct Delphine software (i want my Flashback and Another World 2 :( ) anyway yes, hear of darkness is also from 1998st1ka

What i really miss from back then are the adventure games in general, Tomb Raider, Broken Sword, O.D.T., Heart of Darkness, Omikron: the nomad soul, discworld noir, Curse of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango

Sure we may have Zelda and the odd point and clicker, but to me this was the peak of the adventure genre in general, which at the time was my favourite genre along with RPG
