Since when? It hasn't changed at all. The only diffrence now is that System Wars exsists. People would always argue over Nintendo and Sony or whatever. It's been the case for a very long time. Only now that the internet is more popular is it the case that people can now express these feelings over a forum. Nostalgia is an annoyance, it stops you looking forward to the future. The more you rely on nostalgia for pleasure, the more it starts to bring you down. Nostalgia is not a good thing. Most of these games are complete crap by todays standards, and I prefer to be safe in the knowledge of that. MGS is one of the few games that has retained much of it's quality since 1998. Even FF:Tactics is trumped by it's own remake, by a fairly big margin.

anyone remember heart of darkness? that was actually a pretty cool game. not sure what year that was tho, and I was a little kid back when I first tried shadow man, that game was pretty disturbing, but lots of fun, its sequal was good too.

All of the games mentioned aside from the super duper exclusives (MGS) are the reasons why I didnt buy a PS2. I loved the innovation and freedom the PS1 brought to the industry, it was all about games games games!!!! When the PS2 launched, it was very successful, but none of the quirky franchises were present during last gen that made the Playstation brand for me... I still remember having a huge library of PS1 games and enjoying every one of them....man I miss the old days

I spent countless hours on Vigilant8 dude, it's came out on the Xbox live arcade with good graphics but nothing beats the original one.

Also Einhanderis so cool, I wish for it to come out on Xbox Live Arcade.

Feels good to see "console" gaming at it's finest backthen, now almost all the developers are influenced by the PC games, it is becoming blurrier by the time, the majority are shooters and WRPGs and the minority are console games, I like them all but I want my console games back :cry:
