I don't know about TC, but I'm still playing great shooters. Bioshock comes to mind right off the top of my head, as does Half-Life 2, Deus Ex (okay, so it was only a year after 1999, but the point still stands), Killzone 2 (maybe a bit more on the generic side, but still great fun with excellent production value), and others.

the point is, stop saying Bioshock is original, when you guys obviously haven't played Hexen. And Half-Life 2 was an abomination compared to Half-Life 1

I've played Hexen, and I don't draw that many obvious connections between the two. And I love both Half-Life games, and I can't fathom how Half-Life 2 could be considered an abomination compared to the original; they're both great.

Don't exaggerate, nothing is an absolute 'abomination' or 'epic failure' when they're made by the exact same group of people and compared to the last one. And a lot of people enjoyed those two games you mentioned, myself included. You shouldn't live in the past you know.

tfc is ok, tf2 is far better taking out grenades was the single best move they could have made as for hl and hl2, where is your logic behind this argument? both are excelent games and hl2 expands on everything from the origional including storytelling capabilities

Good games on one year don't preclude games from another year from the same. If your serious, then I respectfully disagree. If your not then props for some truly sad attention seeking, just thumbs up....

HL2 engine's hitboxes are waaaay off, and the ragdoll effects look very very fake. If you hit someone in the face in the HL1 engine, blood would spurt and they'd fall in the direction you hit, backwards! The ballistics were just better in HL1

Now I can't even decide if you're being for real or not. My argument is moot because I think Half-Life 2 was as good as the original Half-Life? If you ask Metacritic, they're both 96. Funny thing, huh?

If you ask MetaCritic, both Modern Warfare games are also 94. Hype and bribery always influences reviews so most scores are inflated.

you are clearly a troll but i am quite bored sooooo ok, doom: they stand there and shoot in my general direction and just kinda stand there for me to kill them today; oh lets take crysis for example the enemy don't always know where you are, they don't just stand there and let you kill them while the shoot at you once an a while they actually roam around/drive vehicles. they are capable of flanking and understand what up and down are, the react to what you do and run from your grenades and have even tried to ambush me after i think i killed everyone and walk off. they react when you snipe a guy near them(if they see it) and try to figure out where you are, they don't cheat like the doom ai did and always know exactly where you were i could go in, i really could. but i hear my ship being attacked on eve and should probably see whats happening
