Most of the textures are obvously better in R2 when compared. Especially on character models.

IGN said that they where amazed that Insomniac was able to do all this without framerate drops and at a steady 30fps.

Im in the beta and it has no framerate drops whatsoever and its a only a BETA!

I wasnt intrested in this game but after getting in the betting and seing the vid that TC posted im definetly getting this!

Resistance2 is getting great review scores, although i dont care much about reviews.... i cant wait till this game gets released, also am very pleased with the visual upgrades from R1...

that vid only made me want R2 more, and its a 1st day buy for me.... haters can say all they want but both Resistance2 & Geow2 are gonna be awesome games...

Well, all i can say is that enjoy your expansion pack and broken 5vs5 MP with horrible framerate problems.

Im going to enjoy Resistance 2 alot (skipped the first one) and have a blast with the beta a few days more.

Man those texutres in the resistance 2 pisc are good. gears 2 also looks good but they mask the lesser textures with more deatail so you dont notice it.

People really shouls see resiatance 2 as a competitor to gears 2, in some ways it really is the better game in terms of graphics and stuff like that.

Do you honestly think that if you interview a dev that he is going to mention ANYTHING negative about his product?

I said the same thing about Mass Effect, that it has massive framerate problems,fans denied it and what did we get?

I consider IGN far more reliable than GS,Kotaku,GT or 1up. That does not mean you have too.

1up gave R:FOM an A- and R2 a B+. Now dont you think it is questionable that they gave a lower score for R2 which is far more better than R:FOM(from what ive seen and read, only played the R:FOM demo) and that has improved so much in all areas.

Based on the R2, i too would give R2 a similar score that IGN did and thats just from the BETA MP and CO-OP.

The game is top notch and you should really try it out instead of quoting "bad" reviews.

As for the Gears MP, yes it is broken. I loved Gears 1 SP but the MP was horrible. Laggy mess with host advantage and unbalanced weapons. The mathes almost always played the same, rush to a position and boom shotgun or snipe.

But thats just my opinion.

Im having more fun with the R2 beta then i ever had with Gears of War, and Gears 2 does not seem to improve on almost anything at all.

Is it me or did 1up's review seem like a little hating going on with it? I mean they gave a A- to Rfom and then go and give R2 a B+? Even after saying in the first sentence of 2nd paragraph:

"This sense of scale goes a long way toward making Resistance 2 a more cinematic, grandiose, and vastly improved sequel"

Hmm doesn't make much sense at all really, there should be NO way a reviewer states a vastly improved sequel and then go on and give a lower score for the game compared to its previous title. Thats just idiotic.

Yeah well a lot of sites tend to be biased nowadays...

Personally I think GS and IGN are biased as well although in two different directions... So I just rate the games on the avg of both sites.

Some of the enemies in R 2 look extremely bad-ass. None of them waddle around like hyperactive toddlers screaming: "Help! The demon is here!!!!"

looks good, epic cutscenes and graphics, but i just hate the feel of weapons in the game, its horrible + theres toomuch zoom when you use the ironsight. looking to be a solid 8.0 title :)mingo123

It is going to be a solid title but like it or not this game isnt even in the same league as a Gears of War or Far Cry

Gears 2 is already going to stomp R2 in terms of sales gameplay reviews and graphics

There are about 4 people on SW who are actually delusional enough to belive R2 even looks remotely as good as Gears 2

And 3 of them are hardcore Cows who simply cant accept that R2 will be the inferior game

After watching the Resistance 2 marathon, I can safely say that Resistance 2 will get either a 9.0 or a 9.5.

The guy who is reviewing Resistance 2 really seems to love it.

8.0 maybe an 8.5 here
