[QUOTE="niall077"]AND wont fallout 3 be better on ps3 just like oblivion and the oblvion GOTY edition?mgsbethatgame

Hardly. Oblivion is way better on the 360. I have seen AND played both versions and the 360 version owns the PS3 version. In fact, I have said this before, a friend of mine has both systems and had Oblivion on the PS3. He took it in to Gamestop for credit and got Oblivion on the 360. End of story.

your freind playing it against the words of the ones that made it saying it looks better on ps3. your logic FTL

My logic is completely valid. Unlike you, I dont let what someone else says determine whether or not *I* like a game, or if it looks better. I felt that way about it, and my friend that has BOTH systems felt that way about it. Thats fact, whether you like it or not. Take your corny logic somewhere else.

The FF hate is so huge on these forums. But waht can I say, seems every game that pwns and is popular gets the hate. Halo, Zelda, Mario,FF...

And to answer to the TC. FF 13 will pwn all the xbox 360 games in sales. Maybe not in the quality of the game. But sales wise it will destroy them.

Fable 2 looks far more innovative than both those, and definatly than FF13 IMO

Lol, since when did beating a game with only one button become "innovative"?

What are you talking about?

Do you even know anything about the game?

This doesn't defend your platform or your games, this just creates more hatred for cows.

One button for melee combat. Do research before you bash a game because of what some fakeboy said.

Combat
Another big thing Lionhead is experimenting with in Fable 2. Combat in most games presently is repetitive, focused on the unblended and is routed in past design decisions. Combat in games should be dramatic, varied and innovational.

Fable's combat was accessible, but repetitive. It was twitchy and had many buttons, but if you swing a sword, it passes through objects. So the team looked at:

1. The reality of combat (see video when I figure out how to get it off the camera)
2. The location of where the player is.
3. A single corridor opening out to larger space.
When you're fighting down a corridor, you haven't got wide sword blows at your disposal as your sword would get stuck in the wall. Instead, you just have different moves, not different buttons. So now, you're thinking about how your space relates to your combat, as opposed to your swing. Peter then suggested, rather than detailed that a player may thrust a sword like a fencer in a corridor, but in a large open-space, swing their blade like a samurai. Of course, it's worth remembering that these concepts are experimental rather than final. Molyneux detailed the experimental concept using this example, "In this new context where the space auto-changes your swing, we had a moment where players rushed toward you in a certain environment, and it really made a difference to how you felt. Suddenly, combat gained a whole new depth."

"We then looked at the concept of, "What about allies and other opponents?" It's not only where you are, where you're fighting from; it's also who you're fighting with and where they are. One of your guys who's left handed when you're right handed will compliment you well if you fight to his right side, but otherwise, a right hander next to your left hand will be limited in his swing, and it adds another layer of depth, though there is nothing to show of this feature today."

Interesting concepts to say the least. He also went on to talk of how weapons like 'daggers' would no longer be useless, as the size would make them useful for narrow environments thus suggesting that the shape and size of an object would finally gain some relevance in a combat, beyond the previously relied upon size and power properties we're so accustomed to.

There's one button for melee combat, one button for ranged combat and one button for magic. Each respond to where the player is.

You're just making things worse with random comments to defend against someone who is clearly a fakeboy.

Fakeboys pose as fanboys to start arguments, and fanboys easily fall for it, they then bash all the games on the platform they don't like.

Agreed. However, FF fanboys cannot judge XII because they haven't seen any gameplay either. We'll see when we see.

"No game will ever touch FF13, it's going to be the best RPG ever."

"You can't judge FF13 because you haven't seen any gameplay footage!"

Here we go, another pointless thread with fanboys trying to agree with eachother but failing miserably at maintaining a coherent train of thought.

I'm done here, there's nothing to gain from bashing a game to defend your favorite franchise or platform from someone who just wants to start a flame war amongst gamers. It's sad to see so many people fall for this.

Remember this before you come in a thread that's just flame bait, when you defend your favorite game try not to bash games in the process. That'll only feed into what the fakeboy wants and give him some kind of lame pleasure. It will also make once unbiased gamers like myself come to the defense of games that are unjustly bashed.

It still isn't innovative. Fable wasn't hard, in fact it was easy. This is Peter Molyneux though, so I guess hearing him say "WERE GONNA MAKE AN EASY GAME EASIER LOL INNOVASHUN" isn't surprising at all. That man touts his horn far too much for his own good.

Justto counter the previous threads that pitted FFXIII with Unfinite disoveryby the user breakingpoint 8 here's some information on FFXIII's combat.

Infomation courtesy of FF-XIII.net : )

The battle system for Final Fantasy XIII will be very different than most other Final Fantasy games in the everlasting series. According to Kitase, he says that people will say "Is this really FF?" when they play the game. However many traditional elements will be used for battles.

Battle

Party battles will be used, although it is unsure as to how many people will take part in each party. It will most likely be three though since all of the games in the playstation era(excluding FFIX and FFXI) have had 3 people in the party.

Weapon exchanges can be made in the middle of battle. In the 2006 E3 trailer, we see Lightning change from gun mode to sword mode and vice versa. According to Toriyama, due to the detail done for weapons in the game, weapon transformations will be possible. So chances are these transformations will be a crucial part of the battle system.

The battles will be of Advent Children quality. If you have ever seen Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, then you will know that each battle in the movie is spectacular. Well FFXIII will have similar types of battles, with multiple camera angles and fast paced action. If at the time of a battle you are riding a bike, you will be able to use it in battle to help defeat the monsters. Revision has been made to the ATB(Active Time Battle) and is now concidered a CTB(Count Time Battle). The fluidity of battles will be apparent concidering that you will be able to chain you attacks one after another as if it were a constant limit break, which also means that animation for attacks will be different virtually every time you attack. To get an idea of the array of combinations you could do is that you could choose a simple 'slash' attack or a run and slash attack. Mixing magics with these attacks can also be done. It doesn't take long to see that the variety of attacks is extremely customizable.

Battle
Hey would you look at that...

Battle encounters will be handled in a similar way as FFXII in that you will actually see your enemy before entering the battle phase. Also when a battle has begun, one of the ally characters within the party will say something like "Oh! Here's and enemy"

Another nifty feature in the battle system is the Overclock Gauge. This gauge will slowly charge over the span of a battle(or several battles) and once fully charged a count down timer will begin, and during this time, the character currently 'overclocked' will be able to unleash more powerful attacks and abilities. The following are phases of the overclock gauge along with non-official names for them.

Fallout 3 is multiplat and Mass Effect is going to be a veryaverage RPG. Though I am suprised that the TC did not mention Fable 2, but then again that game is going to bomb, single button combat FTL!

Seriously, Final Fantasy takes a dump over every RPG not made by Square Enix, thats just how good the series is.

Go read page 4 and see how you're only hurting your argument and falling for what the TC wants.

You defend Final Fantasy by attacking the Xbox 360 JRPGs which weren't even mentioned by the fakeboy.

One thing is that Final FantasyXII has theluxury of having Final Fantasy in it's name, that's already a big bonus; plus when you add the fact that in Asia, where JRPG generally rule - and to some extent, has a large following as well in the Western world - you simply can't discredit.

Fall out 3 is multiplat!!

and I can't believe you had a chance to play BOTH MAss Effect and FFXIII before either game has been released so you could compare the two!!!!!!!!!
