In a year we're going to have a lot of articles entitled: "Where Nintendo went wrong with the 3DS."Bread_or_Decide
Nope. If anything, it'll have a lot of titles entitled where Sony went wrong with the PS Vita.
i only bought my 3DS this early because i never had a DS and in that regard it's great, but the 3DS has a whole hasn't impressed me yet.

[QUOTE="charizard1605"]If the 3DS is affected by smartphones, then the NGP will too. Like I have said numerous times, we should not expect any handheld to replicate the success of the DS again, the market has changed too much for that. However, I do think that PSP to GBA levels of cumulative sales (that is, 60-85 million units sold) is about right, and that is what I expect the 3DS to hit, once the games start rolling in. Luckily for us, and for Nintendo, the games start rolling in this month.charizard1605
yes you can say this game suck and 3Ds have better game like MGS3D. but if you hardcore non nintendo fanboy gamer. which one do you think more apealling. 3DS or NGP?
If I'm a non Nintendo fanboy unbiased hardcore gamer, then which system is more interesting depends ONLY ON THE GAMES ANNOUNCED FOR THE SYSTEM. Right now, the 3DS has more first party AND third party support than the NGP. If you're only about the tech of a system (which is rumored to be downgraded in the NGP anyway), then yeah, go for the NGP. However, if games are what you go by, then as of right now, the 3DS still remains the more appealing option. Also, the 3DS does not appeal ONLY to the casual market. It ALSO appeals to the casual market, but like the DS< it also appeals to the core market.
Come on... we don't even know what NGP's third party lineup is yet. For all we know, Sony will come out with a huge developer list at E3 just like Nintendo did last year.I do think people should have some perspective on 3DS sales though: it may be low, but it's still higher than every other system in Japan save for the PSP. The 3DS isn't exactly languishing at the bottom of the list near the Xbox 360 or something.
If anything, Project Cafe will probably have a harder time over there than the 3DS will. Japan doesn't seem too enthusiastic about home consoles anymore.
(What's interesting is that, in Japan, DS sales are well below the 3DS. But in America, DS sales are still well above the 3DS.)

No games have really used the 3D to it's potential yet.true ...but games like rayman and pilotwings should be enough to wow you...steel diver to a lesser extent..they are enough to wow me everytime...nothing like a platformer in 3D dude.
what games did you get?
if you got street fighter thats maybe why...ghost recon? thats why too...
Media Create numbers from last week sales are in , 3DS is on the rise and this topic no longer valid !
But that's just one week, a relatively minor boost caused by the release of One Piece 3DS. Plus the PSP and PS3 numbers also rose, so customers in general were just buying more hardware last week.Media Create numbers from last week sales are in , 3DS is on the rise and this topic no longer valid !

We can't really say the 3DS is on the rise unless there's a clear trend indicating so over several weeks.

No games have really used the 3D to it's potential yet. What do you mean? 3D is slowing down frame rates! It's totally living up to it's potential as a gimmick that actually makes games WORSE.Please Log In to post.
