What is with CoD 4 winning everything? The game is not that good. Many better games came out this year. Halo 3, Bioshock, Crysis, SMG, World in Conflict. Honestly.Wasdie

I wouldn't say Halo 3 is better than Call of Duty 4, but I don't think it deserves to win GOTY. I would actually choose Crysis, Orange Box, World in Conflict, or Super Mario Galaxy. Call of Duty doesn't really do anything new in comparison to the titles I mentioned.

It just proves you don't need to make something unique like SMG or Bioshock to win GOTY, but instead make a good FPS with lots and lots of online features.St_muscat

I loved Bioshock, but it was hardly unique. It was almost a carbon copy of it's predecessor.

than play system shock 2 and be amazed that a 10 year old game is both identicle to bioshock in gameplay, and even worse, has some mechanics that are both more advanced, and have more depth.

Indeed. I believe that if Bioshock were a PC only game, it would have been a much better game. It's gameplay mechanics, and integration of role play were severely downgraded to have a more broad appeal.

i agree. its iss overated not now only but at e3 also where it got so many award for best graphics, although it just looked average compared to other games at e3

You're right. Developers, publishers, and distributers would rather win GOTY awards from game websites instead of moving 3 million + units in one month.

I think is deserved game of the year and im happy it got it, I cant believe people think bioshock is better!! kill little big sister, get new ability speak to people on a radio then repeat it's so damn repetitive, cod4 was so good that it even destroyed all the halo chit chat because everyone was playing cod4 instead.bigLLL

I thought COD4 has a good single player, nowhere that of Bioshock, but I definately enjoyed it, variety of missions were good. I liked characters in it, the ending kinda blue for me.ArisShadows

I don't agree, Uncharted should not be ahead of Halo 3, its a 8-10 hr game with no coop or multiplayer.Cubs360

Gamespot putting Uncharted (an 8.0 game) over Halo 3 (a 9.5 game) doesn't make much sense, even though I perfer Uncharted over Halo 3.
