2008, best year ever for gamers?

I think it is, lets just take a look at the lineup.

Xbox 360 - Ninja Gaiden 2, Gears of War 2, Banjo Threeie, Fable 2, Too Human, Lost Odyssey

PS3 - MGS4, Tekken 6, Little Big Planet (not a fan, but thought Id mention it anyway), Resistance 2

Wii - Super Smash Brothers Brawl, No More Heroes, and im not sure whats in store for Holiday 2008, Pikmin? Zelda Wii? Square Enix titles?

PC - Starcraft 2 (if it actually comes this year), Spore, Dragonage

Multiplat - GTAIV, Fallout 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, Soul Caliber 4, Last Remnant

PSP - Chains of Olympus, Crisis Core, Elder Scrolls, Patapon

DS - Dragon Quest 9, Ninja Gaiden DS

and Im sure I missed alot, but this is my list for the year.

I like 08 better. Alot more diversity.

2008 > 2007

Especially if RE5 makes it out this year.

'08 is looking to be the best year for gaming since '98.

2007 was an overrated year. Great games but not even close to the greatest ever. 1998 stomps it into mush.

2008 probably won't beat 1998 but it WILL beat 2007. And the only way 2008 can really beat 1998 IMO is if Starcraft 2, Dragon Age, Spore, RE5, Banjo Threeie, and Alan Wake do all indeed make this year.

And that condition only matters assuming that Fallout 3 delivers(which it most likely will. Sadly, it may not deliver that classic Fallout feeling but it will deliver a good game) along with Too Human, MGS 4, Brawl, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, Red Alert 3 and Gear of War 2 all turning out to be great games.

Otherwise, it is up against too much to really compete with 1998.

Well everyone is getting something so I see it as a little better.

RTS: Starcraft 2, Empire:Total War,Red Alert 3, CNC3: Kane's Wrath, Demi-God,Spore(I think this is RTS) etc

Shooters: Gears 2, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Battlefield 3, Project Offset, Tiberium, Farcry 2,RE5 etc

MMOS: Age of Conan, Warhammer, WoW:WOTLK

RPGS: Dragon Age(If it comes out),Fable 2,White Knight Chronicles, Fallout 3 etc etc (I don't know too many :P)

Action Adventure: Ninja Gaiden 2, Too human,Banjo 3, God of War:COO, MGS4 etc etc

And the genres and lists go on.

2007 sucked, it was insanely overrated other than a few games like Super Mario Galaxy and the Orange Box.

2008 kicks 2007 in the balls, tears out its small intestine, smacks it across the face with it, and then strangles it to death.

2008 is too good to be true.
