2008 goes to Wii?

It looks like the Energizer bunny because an old PS2 game is being ported to it?

The Wii only has 8 games..... eight games..... (including Galaxy) on GR with a score of 8.0 and above (and one of them in the top three, RE4, is a port of a GC game.) After an entireyear, that's not good - at all.

Do you realize the number of AAA's that have hit the 360 in the last 3 or 4 months? Those AAA's alone will outnumber the amount of AAA's the Wii will get for the entire '08 year.

It's selling well, there's no denying it.... but it's library. THat's a different story.

im sorry did you ever play Okami its an amazing game that would actually benefit from the wii so yeah

oh and 8 games that are woth it in its first year alone is something to celabrate considering the 360 had 2 and the ps3 has 1

The amount of AAA's the 360 has got in the last 4 months will outnumber the amount of AAA's the Wii will receive for theentire '08 year.

The 360 has more AAA's on GR than the Wii's entire AA and AAA library combined.

And yeah, I loved Okami. I played it to death a long, long while ago.

Thats exactly what i was thinking, it only has like 2 good games coming next year. Unless sheep's are willing to play SSBB until nintendo decides to release a new zelda, 08 will pretty much sucks for the Wii.

anyone can find about 5 games released in the 3rd and 4th quater of '07 that they'd enjoy. It has a very solid lineup coming. You just haven't stopped splooging over screenshots to look at whats available...

Secondly, people are still playing the original smash brothers as well as melee... Considering how much they're doing with brawl, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a staple. How is that any different than Gears of War? or Oblivion?

A game cant be "overscored", someone had an opinion and you disagree with it.

The wii is a cool system but the numbers dont lie. Just like the Cube and n64 its going to be short on games.

That makes sense doesn't it? The PS3 and 360 will share tons of multiplats that the Wii will miss out on, that's why the PS3's numbers are so high while not being high in exclusives. Games like AC, DMC, GTAetc. will obviously be shared by the 360 and PS3 - that works to the benefit of owners of both systems.

For someone who owns only a PS3, the exclusivity thing means nothing.

It's all about the overall quality of a library.

Sorry son, I'd rather take a system with a 9.5 exclusive and plenty of excellent AA exclusive games that have average critic scores of AAA than a system with AAA games that I can get better versions of on my PC.

A few that I liked? or a few that met your standard of bieng what, "properly reviewed on almost every review site". I mean seriously if you just want me to name the games that came out in the first year I liked would you accept that? no.... I will try though.

Dead Rising: this game is a modern classic FOR ME. Personaly I just love this game to death.

Perfect Dark Zero: This is the one that should make you angry I guess. The SP was just decent but the MP was awsome.

DoA 4:by far the best DoA in the series puting this franchise behind only VF for me. I love online fighters.

Over all though I think 360 did a moderatly good job in its first year. Its second has been even better.

The Wii has games I want to play but nothing has motivated me to purchase one yet I just get my thrills at a friends house. For its first year it did what nintendo needs to do and thats get out its first party heavy hitters. Its first year with those games is almost as good as the 360's.

The ps3, well I own one, still believe it will pay off but looks bleak right now.

I would add more games to my 360 list but I dont know what you allow and you dont allow. I gues GoW and oblivion dont count becouse .... why they are no brainers? becouse everyone adds them to their list?

If you are 21 you still need about another 4 or 5 years of rl exp.... you just have not been alive long enouph to have tasted enouph stuff.

We would actually probably get along in real life.

We all remember real life right? where people discuss things in a more civilized fashion becouse we cant hide behind a computer.

I rate the 360 as a great first year.... becosue out of any given year I really only like 3 or 4 games a lot.

As for the to young to have enouph exp. I stand by that.

I am 31 and I know the Geologists I work withare usually 10 years older and I just have not been alive long enouph to posses some of their wisdom..... thats just life I guess. Youth is wasted on the young.

The bonus for me with video games is that I think( I could be wrong) the atari released in 1976 the year I was born. So as far as video games go you can only be about 8-10 years older (old enouph to be FULLY self aware when the system came out) before it becomes a moot point, becouse video games didnt exist before that.

People can just buy Okami on their PS2 for a cheaper price so I don't see how Okami makes Wii's 08 lineup stellar
