It's bigger, better, and it's got penguins. What more could you ask for?

Yeah, Sonic's dead, I know. But Sonic is returning back to his old greatness with the amazing new Sonic Unleashed! Okay actually we know almost nothing about this game, but it looks cool. And therefore it is cool.

People need to grow up and look at these COLOR games coming out. The world is not in 3,000 shades of grey with a bit of red in it.

These games seem more realistic and mature than those other big games that others hype.

It's still a platformer, just not a traditional platformer. If Rare made a carbon copy on the original Banjo, it would attract as many casuals as N&B would.

Rare's not trying to evolve the genre, they're just taking a different route to the genre.

Rare are looking at the platforming genre differently. It won't evolve the genre, but it may just be one of the funnest platformers this generation. A game doesn't have to evolve a genre to be good.

SMG has as much racing as Banjo 3, and there will be as much shooting as there was in the original Banjo game.

Then your reading the wrong previews. Rare confirmed there will not be much racing in this game, much like SMG racing minigames. Secondly, you shoot eggs like in the original Banjo games, you do this to complete some tasks or beat some bosses, like in the original Banjo games.

I'm almost 19 years of age and I've never judged a piece of software based on how "kiddy" it may appear. I bought Zack and Wiki despite it's supposed "kiddy" presentation, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Likewise, I ended up trading in GTA:SA because I felt the themes were just obnoxiously ghetto for a video game.

The only gamers that worry about about whether something is kiddy is kiddies themselves. You have your 12-17 year olds running around trying to avoid a younger image...

Truthfully there are games that I label for kids. and those games are conveniently packaged with "Early Childhood" printed on the box.

E for Everyone is a game aimed towards your 11 year old brother, you, your dad, and your grandmother. You could be missing out on some quality software by labeling any game E+ as "too kiddy".

So no, seeing how 2008 isn't hyping up a bunch of Early Childhood games, but is instead hyping up more games that everyone can play, it's not "revenge of teh kiddy" in any way shape or form. Sometimes I feel like I'm too old for system wars.
