No, MGS4 will outsell GTA4 on the PS3 because it can only be found on the PS3 so the sales will not be split, It will be close though....but MGS4 is the game I think will do the most damage in terms of exclusives this year(if SC2 does not come).

the original poster is forgetting or ignoring the nintendo wii in his thread.

also there is a good chance that final Fantasy XIII will be out in 2010 0r 2011 knowing how sony like to keep ps3 owner waiting and we haven't even seen a new trailer of Final Fantasy XIII or gameplay trailer this year.

the Wii is basically on its own league; i think it'll turn up to be the next 'PS2' or dethrone it..

But as far as the 360's future, :| i just dont know... Like I've mentioned before, MS needs to stop porting its killer apps to other systems and take a hint from their 2005 year bcuz that year alone was their best exclusive since it was just the 360 by itself.

For it to be anyones year that platform has to beat all others. PC/Wii/PS3/360. Its not just PS3 vs 360.

Microsoft has been relied more on 3rd party and NEW Ips this gen than there bread and butter.

Halo 3 was the only sure fire thing they had this entire gen.

Gears of War 2 is now a sure fire thing, but the first one we only hyped for visuals and dev name, Ofcourse that game delivered.

Also God of War 3 could easily be delayed to 2010. GT 5 should be out and so should FF 13.

That said

Bungie will have a game for the 360 in 09(Make no mistake about it, Microsoft will make sure they pick up the publishing rights)

Alan Wake will be out

SPlintercell Conviction will finally be out

Rare will have something

Turn10 should be back with Forza 3 to match up with GT 5

Mistwalker will have Cry ON and continue to grow there name as a JRPG dev.

Microsoft isn't like Sony who shows what they got for the next year until that year has arrived. They focus more on current year and the now

Where as Sony likes to continue to look down the road.....

Microsoft will have something in 09, They have dominated the PS3 in 07, obviousaly 06, and 08 looks like they will only lose the 1st half of 08 to Sony in game library, because 2nd half of 08 its 360 with Gears 2, Fable 2, Too Human, Banjo Nuts and Bolts, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscoverey, Halo Wars, Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise, Left 4 Dead

Just saying i think the 2nd half lineup is more in 360s favor.

First half of the year definitely belong to Nintendo, despite anything every argument from Cows or Lemmings. Also, DO NOT bring, "OmGz!!! TeH, AAAA, the GtA tEh Iv!!!". First of all, that's multi-plat, second, it's one game against three Wii AAA. no matter how good that one game is, sooner or later,it's gonna end while three games, especially a game on MArio KArt and SSBB level will last you a LONG time, not to mention there is also NMH and a AAA multi-plat (But might as well be Wii exclusive consider very few people bought the game)), Okami! The first 6 months is cetaintly good for the Wii!

Get some exclusive RPGS that i buy a sony console for. PS1 and PS2 where the RPG kings and i loved those consoles for them. But ps3 is lacking in alot of things at the moment. Metal Gear Solid might make me buy a ps3 again (sold my ps3 before because it was collecting dust). Either give me a bunch of new RPGS or im not supporting sony this gen, when all its good for up till metal gear coming out (one of my fav series) has been Blu Ray dvds.

Actually, it's turning out just fine. MGS4 comes out this week.

Forget about sales. Game wise it's a bit of a train wreck right now due to all of the delays. MGS4 will definitely make a lot of PS3 owners happy, but you have to agree that the PS3 is overall a huge disappointment atm.

Hhmmm... not too sure this salvates my wii games-shortage fears to be honest. I've only got super smash bros. brawl to look forward to (not released in the UK yet) then none of these are particularly grabbing my attention to be honest. Fatal Frame 4 the most and I will most likely buy it, but it's still not got me really excited or anything.

I love my wii but my patience is slowly but surely running thin with it... devs are getting far too lazy with it because it's a success and they know chances are sloppy ports or uninspired games will sell at least fairly well.

out of those you've mentioned, only GOW3 interests me

never been a fan on FF or GT, killzone 1 was terrible so i won't hype this just because it looks nice

even though we know nothing about it, you should mention Team Ico's next project .. which hopefully comes out next year

it'll be a definite buy for me, even though we've seen just one teaser screenshot .. that's how highly i rate the dev!
