2009 really is the best year for gamers.

I know a lot of people argue about all of the great games that have come out on certain platforms in 2009. But has anyone stopped and realised how great a year this was to be a gamer in general?

A couple of examples would be:

• Killzone 2(9)
• Street Fighter 4(9)
• Fifa 10(9)
• Grand theft auto(9.5)
• Rock Band: Beatles(9)
• Batman Arkham Asylum(9)
• Prototype(8.5)
• Infamous(9)
• Bowsers inside story(9)
• Halo ODST(9)
• Uncharted 2(9.5)
• Dirt 2(9)
• Tiger Woods 10(9)

And there's plenty more to come.

We have New super mario brothers Wii, Modern warfare 2, Assassins creed 2, Forza 3, Left for Dead 2, Ratchet & Clank, Darkside chronicles and many more.

How could anyone deny that 2009 has been one of (if not) the best years for gaming ever? Can we stop arguing over scores and sales to actually appreciate the games?

Just remeber that the year before was always better than the current year, because games have only gotten worse since their invention. Pong>every games since.

In all honesty, this was a great year, and its not even over. Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age, Assassins Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, etc are all on the way.

2009 was complete garbage. One of the most pathetic years for gaming ever. 2010 looks more brighter.

Wow, I don't like any of those games. The only games of note would be Demon's Souls, Brutal Legend and GTA expansions. What a crappy year, no wonder I'm bored to death.

I vote for 2008, GTAIV, MGS4 and Ninja Gaiden2.

Doesn't help that some of the best games got pushed or just missed 2009, Red Dead Redeption, Max Payne3 and Mass Effect2.

2010 honestly looks like the best year for this gen. All 09 really had for me was Batman: Arkham Asylum and Blazblue

This year was pretty good, and the better thing is that 2010 looks even better.

Looks like someone slept through 2007 and 2008.

Nothing has really caught my interest this year except for Dragon Age.

I'll see in a few weeks if it can save the year, but that's only one game.

2004 was the last great year of games. imo this whole generation has been average at best.

2007 wasnt the best. The only reason why people are saying that is becasue it was the best for the 360.

2009 was definitely the best it was one of the best years in gaming history. (probably not for the 360 though, lol)And 2010 looks like it can even top this year too!!!! Now thats great!!!!!
