2010 are not looking good with PS3...

These kinds of threads in February are kind of lolworthy, when every system looks to have good line-ups coming for the rest of the year.

Two AAEs thus far with Heavy Rain and MAG.

Slated for 2010:

God of War III
Gran Turismo 5
The Last Guardian
3D Dot Game Heroes
ModNation Racers
Yakuza 3
Agent

That's without taking into consideration anything that will be announced at E3, nor the two PC-shared MMOs set to be released this year.

A year is 12 months, not 2.

i knew this year wont be good for the ps3, which is why i traded my ps3 for a 360:D im too smart....MAG is a terrible game. heavy rain is a terrible movie with no re-WATCH value lol. GOW3 is a rental for its no replay value. last guardian just looks like childs play imo. GT5 only game i like for ps3 this year. oh and bad game ports which it will have....

I wish Microsoft would start sending some MMO love our way. I was so excited for Champions Online - and like all 360 MMO's, it's been sidelined by LIVE's payment policies.

I agree. So far the 360's lineup is winning (whether some of the games are multiplat or not we don't get to play them) and many PS3 games aren't as good as expected.

You should actually play the games before you diss them.

How do you know that GOW3 has no replay value when it's not even out? You would have to play through the whole game to know that you know...

I like how people can say PS3 has a poor 2010....when in fact your opinion =/= everyone elses. MLB 10: The Show will be my most played game of 2010, just as 09 was last year. Its all preference watson. Personally, I think MAG, Heavy Rain, MLB 10, and God of War 3 is a great first quarter.....much better than Mass Effect and...nothing. Of which Mass Effect 2 is not as good as the first one.

Mass Effect 2 is too overhyped. It's just as bad as Uncharted 2's hype.

Bayonetta isn't THAT crappy. just a frame rate and loading issue here and there.

and God of War 3 is due out next month so....yeah.

:shock: um... wow, just WOW :). I have recently bought a PS3 and there are too many games to play at the moment. But even if i had a PS3 all along there are plenty of games out there and coming out to keep people having fun playing them.

second neither did 360 it's not exclusive that game doesn't count

third I give you that but 360 probably wishes it had a flop as it still hasnt even gotten a game this year.

4 and 5 AAE is a respectable score here it's better than 0 games of 360.

and btw this year we gained an AAA while you guys lost an AAAE GTA EFLC

so one AAA and 2 AAE is better than 0 the number of games 360 currentlyhas available this year.

HR and MAG got great reviews 8/10 for a new IP is very good if you care about scores as well as WKC i and most people i talked too enjoyed the game not the best but its fun

Additionally, although I was extremely disappointed that Heavy Rain was not AAA on Gamespot, I still am looking forward to it just as much as I was before.

You do have a point though - things aren't looking as good as people were originally making out, and it is highly likely that at the end of the year people will be stating that the Xbox 360 and PS3 were much closer than they were in 2009. Still, I reckon Sony has a few aces up their sleeve, and I'm not too fussed either way - 2010 will be a great year for everyone :D

The only disappointment so far is White Knight Chronicles. MAG actually scored right in the range that most predicted. The metacritic for Heavy Rain is 88 which means we're stating with our back to back classics already! FF XIII & Yakuza 3 in just two weeks. Followed by GOWIII just a few weeks later! PS3 has the most awesome 1st quarter of any system so far this gen, you're insane!

Now... as for what the rest of this year holds for it, I have no idea. I can't think of anything I want after GOW III besides ModNation Racers & GT5. Hopefully they announce Starhawk for this year... it would quickly jump to the top of my list!

Anyway, PS3's 2010 is starting off decently, but with one staple of the PS3 2001line-up failing (WCK) and another not having quite the impact that Sony fans wanted it to (HR), there is more pressure on GOW3 to completely own, which is very likely. Then GT5 needs to actually come out this year and do as well as hyped. Only then will the PS3 have a chance of taking 2010. The 360 is definitely formidable (considering it hasMass Effect 2, Reach, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Crackdown 2)this year after completely slacking last year.

Wouldint a better idea been to get a 360 and keep the ps3 incase something came up. Also how is wake obvious AAA? Yes iv seen the game and im excited for it too actually its the only thing after ME2 thats left to buy for my 360 since besides that nothing els intrest me and it looks like a AA the most imo. Why did you bother listing fable 3 if you didint care for it. After all this is about what you want out of it. Also nice opinion on halo.

i think the PS3 is doing just fine

it's just that after last year it's hard to top that, last year's 3rd party games didn't interest me that much and the 360/Wii didn't perform as well

this year 3rd party/360/Wii/etc. are doing well again, so me being a universal gamer i'm not going to devote all my time to the ps3 again if it's not what i'm interested in

i'm definitely getting GOW3, and would like to get 3d dot game heroes as well, but besides that i'm giving all my platforms attention this year so... sue me fanboys

AAA= Uh....greater

AAAA= Prime

E= exclusive

2 AAE's in 2 months isn't a bad start really. Light Drizzle and WKC just didn't meet the hype. God of War, MLB, Yakuza and GTA port are coming next month.

the 360 is not formidable you forget that Mass effect and Splinter Cell does not count they are multiplats so it's up to 360 to deliver at least one AAE or AAAE yet and so far were waiting I do think Reach is the only chance of getting AAAE while crackdown 2 i don't see getting even AAE
