2010 GOTY Predictions

The prediction is for what will be given the "GOTY" title by the gaming websites & so forth - not what game you think you will enjoy the most

the act of predicting (as by reasoning about the future)

We're barely though the year and already GOTY predictions? I'd wait till we get to the end of the year.

I think it will be between Red Mass Effect 2, Dead Redemption, and Halo Reach.

halo reach is the safe bet.

It seems the GOTY is between Halo Reach and Zelda. But we don't know too much about either. So Imma wait. TBH, I think Halo R is going to get it.

I can't see Mass Effect winning it's a bit generic - Kratos turned into a ganster rapper so GOW3 is out & the length is pretty short i heard

Alan Wake I see highly unlikely infact my spider senses tell me it's gonna flop

Red Dead Seems wholly new & judging by the previews itlooks ridiculously good

Halo Reach again it can't be nothing too ground breaking - just a continuation or modification - the guys that give game of theyear usually pick something special

from what Ive seen of it I think Red dead redemption has a fairly good shot at it, also ME2 seems to have a fairly good shot, since people are still talking so much about it.

I doubt reach will get it, I cant say why, but Reach does not strike me as a game that will rock the foundation of gaming with a title that will be remembered that fondly (likely because we allready have had 3 Halos, they really have to outdo them for it to be anything abive what is expected).

nor do I belive FO:NV will get a goty... Chances are that there might be some unnamed game that drops on everyone like a bomb later this year.

Oh and I doubt MoH will get a goty either.

So hard to tell. Halo Reach, ME2, The Last Guardian, Zelda, Starcraft 2.... Id say they're all in the running

Right now Mass Effect 2 has top honors. Heavy Rain, God of War 3 and Halo Reach will all probably get a nod as well.

The Last Guardian if it comes out this year. I think it will be something that comes out later in the year because it will be fresh in the minds of critics.kittyloaf69

Cant make GOTY predictions on games when they aren't released. Games released up to this point I would lean in favor of Mass Effect 2.

As of right now I can not see Mass Effect 2 not getting it. Developers will have to bring out their super A game to outdo Mass Effect 2. Bioware threw down the gauntlet with Mass Effect 2 and said Ya lets see what the rest of you got?

All those have a shot I think. I'm rooting for Halo.

Still too early to tell though. I haven't seen enough of The Last Guardian to tell if that will be a contender, it probably will be though.

There are quite a few contenders this year. I think ME2 or Halo Reach could win it. I also think that SMG2 is definitely a contender since SMG was so great.
