i'm not saying wait 2 years for it to be GOOD. it is already GREAT. i'm saying by 2010 ps3 will be a unstoppale force that will be running rampant in the gaming world. xbox 360 by that time will have lost with it's hd-dvd support, and wii's graphics are already out of date.

I think it's great that the Halo series is over. I hate when companies milk a franchise over and over again. This is why I'm not excited about MGS anymore. If we keep buying the same games, companies are not forced to make new games.

It sounds like you're waiting for the PS3 to be number 1. Might never happen! Who cares who is number 1 in sales. If you like the PS3, then play it. Don't be blind and try other systems. You might be surprised. I was a die hard PS2 fan (enjoyed the Xbox as well) but this Gen I think the 360 has the best games. So guess what, I have a 360!

Games will bring the PS3 sales up, in theory.

I've just purchased an xbox 360 elite (Can't have it till christmas GRRRR) Iopted forit for three reasons: one, it's cheaper; two I really like those achievement points they sound cool lol; and finally I can also play xbox games since i don't have an xbox.

Now in 2010, you say the ps3 will own. I can't see it as it aint THAT superior to Xbox 360. It seems like the xbox (better graphics) to the ps2 (Lower graphics compared to xbox.) Now what I said above, do you think that a ps3 would still be a better decision?! It is down to the individual gamer. Don't assume we all buy consoles due to power and graphics, there are other factors to decide upon. (such as online quality, controller comfortability, the software features etc)

FACTS. "3 red lights" can be repaired FREE of charge and it's not every 360 that suffers. I don't care if the PS3 cost $399 or not,there are too manygames on my 360 and Wii that will keep me occupied. I don't want HD DVD and if I did, I can just buy the add on. Do you even have a HD TV? You enjoy MGS and FF which I'm sure will be great games,but do you honetly think that the 360doesn't have great games now and in the future. Japan will help PS3 sales, but I find it very sad that the PS3 is not number 1 right now. They were the number 1 systems for the last 2 generations and failed to keep their own fans. first off all xbox 360 games are rated high because micro$oft pays them off. gears of war was a decent game at best. halo 3 runs in 640p and bioshock is not inovative. second off blu ray is goign to win and blu ray win = ps3 win

If you honestly believe that Microsoft pays off reviewers, then I actually feel sorry for you. You are missing so many great games and don't even know it. I won't even comment on your comments of Gears, Halo and bioshock because you obviously are blind to great games on other systems. I have a 360 and a Wii, but I'm not blind to the fact that the PS3 has great games as well. You are just a sorry little man, who refuses to look at real facts...like the 360, Wii and yes the PS3 have great games and it's all a matter of opinion. Your opinion is not the same as mine or most gamers for that matter. Whoa, whats with the personal insults.

I don't care one way or the other. I don't watch too many movies to really care.

The 2 to 1 ratio is misleading. Most of those Blu-ray "sales" are directly connected to the PS3. I know many people who did spend 170 on a HD DVD drive...and those that wont perhaps will pick up one of those $200 players that are coming out for the holidays. Maybe even people not into gaming will purchase those cheap units, no? I'm sure those will not break. :roll:

I won't tell you what I think u are if you think Blu-ray victory is so apparent. The winner, if you ask me, is our old friend DVD. I think both formats are doomed...just like SACD and DVD-Audio.

U do realize that a normal DVD holds about 5gb of space whereas a blu ray disc holds up to 60gb? Also PS3 uses blu ray in its games not just it's movies so when u got like 60gb of space in a game discfrom a more powerful machine or like 10gb of space from a game disc from a less powerful machine. well I don't think I have to say much else. Blu ray provides the technology devs have dreamed of for a while now. It's only a matter of time before we see a real change in this "system war" **coughs**

Btw in case you havnt realized this yet. Those of u fanboys comlaining about the cost of the PS3. M$ constanty makes you buy things to make your console the best. when you add it all up... 360 and PS3 are pretty much the same in terms of cost
