2010: The year of platform exclusive flops?

If i remember correctly, it was, since hype was AAA and it got AA, that's why is a flop.

There was a manipulation with Heavy Rain that is hard to explain, but needless to say, it wasn't a good thing. I've posted and others have tried to explain it in SW over the last 6 months, the original Hype thread, the poor handling of the stickied thread, a new thread made with an insufficient OP, everything about it, but what's done is done.

Heavy Rain was hyped to be AAA and it got AA so its a flop.

Flops in System Wars are determined by the scores they receive here on GS. Heavy Rain was hyped AAA, but received a AA score, and so it's a flop. The term flop here doesn't mean the game didn't sell well, or is a poor game, it just means it didn't meet the hype here.

Other M was hyped AA from what I remember, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: I just forgot, so was Red Steel 2. It was hyped AA, it got an A. I should know because I made the hype thread.

I left it out since it's already confirmed for a PC release, though it is currently a timed 360 exclusive.

Instead of banning the term console graphics king the term flop should have been banned the word is just being overused and abused now. Games like and mario though helped prove this thread title wrong

Funny how "flops" like Lost Odyssey, Fable 3, Fallout Vegas, Mass Effect, Alan Wake are hands down some of my best games this generation by miles
