2011 goty

Hopefully none of the games in that poll. The only one I'm even slightly interested in is Uncharted 3, but I wouldn't even spend my money on it. Probably just borrow it from a friend.

Skyrim is pretty much guaranteed goty

It's kinda scary that 4 of the choices on that list are shooters more or less (judging from their prequels)

I'm inclined to include Infamous in there was well, but I honestly didn't spend enough time with it to judge it fairly. Hopefully Skyrim is actually good and sweeps GoTY everywhere- - or Zelda :)

it didn't on gamespot. But it should have. It got most of the goty awards all media outlets considered.

LA Noire or Elder Scrolls : Skyrim I won't even play anything on the list - Because I'm a far superior human being :oops:

I've made polls the past 2 years for 2009 and 2010 GOTY and people always told me the same thing, "Its too early". I'm a huge Uncharted fan, I loved the first 2 games, but I don't see why everybody is so hyped for the 3rd. It looks good but I haven't seen or heard anything that got me as excited as I was for 2. Yes, its going to be good, hell its going to be awesome, but I don't see it making this gigantic jump in awesomeness. I don't see the story being better, I don't see the gameplay being much improved, I don't see the design being much improved because let me tell you, the second, to me, seemed to be the best the franchise could be. How could they improve?

In terms of the other games, the competition is so stiff this year I can't vote. I'm hyping inFamous 2 the most atm and I'd bet it would be my personal GOTY, but games like ME3, U3, K3, C2, or some other sequel stand a better shot.

I don't expect Uncharted 3 to win anywhere near the awards that Uncharted 2 did anyways.

So why wouldn't the game be anywhere near or even surpass Uncharted 2? :?
I'm personally expecting UC3 to outscore UC2 everywhere with a 97-98 Metacritic and solid AAAA (10) on Gamespot.

Also the number of games won't stop it from being recognized. Tons and tons games has been released this generation and UC2 was scored higher than all of them being the 6th highest rated game of all time.

Only Zelda, Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 are a threat to it. Other than that, I see no other game taking its place as the pantheon of Third Person Shooters like UC3 will be.

You really shouldn't hype it that much, especially not an 10 on gamespot. Gamespot is kind of an oddball review site.

Oh I know, It'll be incredible, I was just saying, there is way more competition this year, than 2009. That's not to say Uncharted 2 had no competition, because there were alot of outstanding games that came out in 2009.

But there's just alot more this year.

there's killzone 3, which literally looks to improve on every single aspect over killzone 2,

The last guardian, being developed by team ico. nuff' said. Even naughty dog takes inspiration from team ico.

Resistance 3, which will go back to what made the original great, while having some of the best graphics on a console game.

we don't really no that much about crysis 2 and RAGE yet, but I have a feeling they'll be great too. Then there's batman arkham city, and all the other multiplats.

Infamous 2, Is going to improve on infamous in every way as well.

There's just alot of competition. :)

I think the mass effect franchise is terrible, but that's mainly because I don't like western rpg's at all. And skyward sword will be amazing I agree.

I will also say Skyrim, Portal 2, Uncharted 3, and Skyward Sword will have the best chances along with The Witcher 2.
