Read those links I posted above. They aren't what you think they are. Killstreaks would just be some sort of "yay you got 10 kills" on your screen and wouldn't give you any bonuses at all.

It really sounds like they are streamlining the cumbersome stuff found in planetside without removing many of the game elements. They are trying to preserve balanced (hense no hacking), while making everything else far deeper than it used to be.

Now there are ballistics for each gun, hitboxes for the players, everything running on an engine specifically designed for MMOs, and so many other great things. I don't even know what half of it is but most people seem really excited.

• Killcam
• No free-form inventory system.
• Class system
• Regenerating shields
• Permanent bases on each planet
• No Vehicle hacking
• Killstreaks (though, they wont be as OP as they are in certain other games)

They all could turn out well, but at the moment, I am not too pleased of what I hear regarding PS2. Beta is when I will make my final judgement.

Bolded the ones that have made some players brand it as PlanetCoD.

No, there are no killstreaks and the killcam is very experimental and could just be toss out of the game if they can't find a way to make it work right in the beta.

Well, you can tell console gen is coming to an end from the bland line-up.

PC line-up is brutal however; all the more so since it's incomplete. My most anticipated game (Enemy Unknown) isn't even on the list.

But yes, there are so many good things about PS2. Though there are some other things I am not particulary keen on, BETA is the best way to confirm whether it all works out in the end. I too am excited for PlanetSide 2. Cautiously excited, but excited nonetheless (which is why I put it in a third category).

It's amazing how many interesting western games are on the PC when compared to the very few on consoles.

There just isn't a place for a mid-tier, or low-tier dev on the consoles anymore since it's all about big-budgets, and cinematic experiences.

That's usually how I start out each year it seems, but as time goes on, and I learn a little bit more about the games that do come out the list grows quite rapidly.

Not to mention how many games kinda just come out on the PC. I mean I had no clue Carpe Fulgar was going to release another JRPG on the PC, but the other day their new release "Fortune Summoners" kinda just showed up on Steam.

It really just depends on how invested you are in the PC. I mean looking at it from the outside it doesn't seem like much, but when you really start gaming on the PC, and start learning about just what actually is out there (since so much is not advertised, or even publicized) it becomes a very interesting and unique gaming platform

The only good multiplats on that list are comming on pc, and will be much better on PC.

The pc exclusives are more than all the consoles ones combined , and many of them look great.

I know we are not looking at handhelds here,but I feel like we can't ignore the loads of games heading to the 3ds.

That's the great thing about PC. Rather than Mario Party 9, or some other rehash, PC gamers enjoy a steady stream of new ips.

I know we are not looking at handhelds here,but I feel like we can't ignore the loads of games heading to the 3ds.
