2016 could be a new generation for PC gaming

Well, you know what the simple truth is: we PC gamers just know that there will ALWAYS be a ton of games for us to play. We don't have to worry whether we get 1, 2, 3 or 4 new games a year in order to bring our games library to a good 20 or maybe even 30.

We PC gamers can talk quietly about hardware because we already have hundreds of games in our libraries and because we know that each year dozens of new games, big and small, will follow.

So no, we really don't have to talk about upcoming games in 2016. We could, but we're not desperate about it. I know, you're jealous now. Well, I understand it. It must suck to be a console gamer, being desperate all the times about games and whether you will have anything good to play at all in the next time... ;)

There is no "current" PC library of games. We don't have generations. But of course there are a lot of crappy games. You have to search for the good ones.

An RPG of the same quality as the old Ultimas = Divinity Original Sin (Enhanced Edition) ;)

And Bethesda? Bethesda has nothing to do with PC gaming. It's a console company through and through.

Newsflash: I've been gaming on PC since Age of Empires 2, and games like Praetorians, Age of Wonders, etc, shaped up a warm place in my childhood. I've just always been more budget-conscious about my PCs. Stop saying "we" like you're some kind of representative, it only makes you look childish. Have some individuality.

Thanks for the read! Its really great to see what is coming down the pipe, not just for high end PCs, but for consoles as well. If Nintendo managed to find a way to use HBM on NX, it would be revolutionary, and could trigger a early generation jump.

This should help laptops a lot as they have always been fighting heat. This is exactly what smaller dies can help with. I'm tempted to see what I can get for my MSI laptop to prepare for Pascal.

Yeah, I'm putting off my new build for a while longer. Right now my current wishlist is putting me in the $4,500 range, not including monitors, peripherals, or software.

I sincerely thank @Cloud_imperium for taking the time to make such a huge list :D I've seen it being shared on youtube multiple times...

I did make one of those lists, but unfortunately, most of the consolites completely avoided the thread. The few did comment made predictable excuses such as "PC indie fillers!" or "but Halo and Bloodborne!"

Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes - An asymmetrical co-op game where one player has a randomly generated bomb and the other player has a defusal textbook. The first player has to describe what they see while the other one walks them through disarming it.

These are just a handful of the games I have gotten in the last couple days.

PC has absolutely shitloads of unique games that you simply cannot find on consoles. PC offers EVERYTHING that consoles offer and consoles can't offer close to the variety of experiences that PCs have.

I'll keep them in mind.............give it a whirl. Happy New Year's.......

HDR is bllsht. It is an after effect. The same effect can be done just by palette choice. Not only that, but most of these gaming monitors are incapable of displaying such range as they lack in contrast, black level, and color reproduction.

Been saying pc gaming is on the rise for quite some time, though. People will wisen up and see the bs that is playstation and xbox.

Thus proving my point: all about hyping up those AMAZING games... That haven't released yet...
