But they couldnt fix the way that the drummers hold their sticks? This seriously looks like they just took the free mod and sold it.

[QUOTE="Wasdie"]Oh well if you want to play that game. We have Planetside, you can have 1500 players in a single battle. ArmA 2 also supports 256 players and so do a few old NovaLogic games. Don't forget WWII Online! Though PlanetSide is the more ironic example since it's a Sony product (SOE, anyway), and NOT on consoles at all, not even a spinoff.[QUOTE="ThisIsTwoFace"]Oh well, we still have MAG, a FULL 256 Player Game.NamelessPlayer
Don't you mention WWII Online to me.
$#*$^#@$^@ #*^O*$#^@*#$^ (@#$O*@# ...is what I have to say to that game.
I really don't get the appeal of Mount and Blade but a multiplayer version of it seems much better, might pick this up, could be good fun.bobbetybob
I also shrugged thinking that it's not my style wen i heard about the beta of the original version (M&B 0.6XX). Mearly a few months ago upon saying "f*ck it" due to the lack of RPGs to play, i installed Warband (the updated, best version) and became hooked.
It's such a incredible experience, beyond my wildest expectations. Starting as a worthless bum, and eventually becoming the absolute king of all the lands and trough many ways achieveble. Ofcourse i had a mod installed since the game, there are so many quality ones. It's basically the perfect sand-box RPG.

I saw that appeal in it when I was playing it, I'm probably just too impatient to work my way up, I don't find the small battles that much fun, I usually just end up going round the enemies in circles on my horse slowly picking them off. I could see the role playing in this being pretty fun though, actually marching into battle and taking on a role sounds awesome if it actually works like thatI saw that appeal in it when I was playing it, I'm probably just too impatient to work my way up, I don't find the small battles that much fun, I usually just end up going round the enemies in circles on my horse slowly picking them off. I didn't like the vanilla game, it felt bare bones, and i really didn't like the soundtrack. I probably would have had the same view on the game as you do now.
I had The Prophesy of Pendor module installed which, i think is the best 'DLC' , expansion, or whatever people may call it, for this game. It's a complete overhaul of the game(completely new map, items, enemies, kingdoms, etc.) besides adding countless features that make Mount & Blade complete - like random events, special goals to achieve, a dynamic conversation system for party members, etc.
Hell, in the context of random events, a God can appear and give you unattainable stuff.
wish game like this worked well on consoles..console only gamers need to see what this game is all about.lawlessx

Obviously large scale battles on multiple fronts... maybe go look at a video.

Reread the OP very carefully and you will see.
Some wishy-washy crap about seeing games as creative platforms rather than products.
After looking at the rather boring youtube video I'd rather have products.

That recent M&B patch that compliments the new DLC probably broke all the existing mods for it. :P. I would know, learnt the hard way with not stopping the auto updates for M&B on steam. If this was meant to be a mod, I am not sure how I feel about the idea of taking what was supposed to be a mod, into monetized content. It seems like a double edged sword. If I those instruments had an offensive kinetic use to them, I'd buy the DLC in a whim.illmatic87
LOL!
Braining someone over the head with bagpipes... would be fun.

I only brought it up since it's the MMOFPS everyone seems to forget about for one reason or another while mentioning PlanetSide all the time. What royally pissed you off so much about it, anyway?
skill is obviously more important than fun fun can **** right offmore players in one map just generates more chaos and less skill in terms of a shooter.
I came to this realization when you started to compare TF2 servers with 24 max players vs 32 max players.

My bad I should've read what he was saying.
It's a little more than some extra armor for our horses.
- Accurate early 19th century weapons, uniforms and environments.
- Massive multiplayer battles with up to 250 players. (specially patched in for this DLC)
- Five nations with more than 220 unique units to choose from. (there aren't even 220 units in Mount and Blade Warband)
- A wide range of artillery pieces ranging from field cannons to mortars, capable of firing cannonballs, canister or explosive shells, all fully controllable by players.
- Destructible environments. Players can use a range of artillery and explosives to destroy various buildings, bridges and other structures.
- Finely crafted game balance insuring player skill is the hero of the battlefield, not the gun or the sword.
- Construct barricades, dig trenches, and rig explosives with the multi-purpose Engineer class.
- Special musician units with drums, fifes, bagpipes or trumpets; able to play historically accurate tunes. All recorded and played by award winning musicians. (What other game lets you play a bagpipe in the middle of a massive battle? None. That's how many.)
- More than 40 classical background music tracks.

I don't see horse armor in that list:cry:
Mag is 256 and from looking at NW, MAG has alot more action going onNengo_FlowIn b4 "tiny map size and tiny draw distance" remarks.
Mag is 256 and from looking at NW, MAG has alot more action going onNengo_FlowYour forgetting NW also has bots for you to command in the commander battles. So add 250 playser, pus 6 bots per player (using WFaS bot numbers, since I don't know the bot count for NW).

1.Most user made content on pc sucks, it sucks big fat donkey balls the top 1% can be found that is actually good but You still have 99% that is utter s***
2.Not every one creates content for pc games out of the pc gamers out there 1% actually makes something
3. to sit and even believe that PC gamers do not have the same mentallity as console gamers that they are buying an entertainment product is just stupid not when pc gamers obviously look forward to other games, and older games die away its not like pc gamers all of them still play every single old game released in the past 20 years they eventually give them up just like console gamers because something better is released and the community around that game dies and yes PC game communities do die.
Talk about trying to make your self into a god because your a pc gamer, as though your some how better then every one else, this is why I don't pc game because pc gamers are total ass hats that think they are better then every one else yet actively cover up the fact their platform is the source of most of the casual stuff in the games industry they say is trash.
