$299 PS3 + $75 8600GT = No reason to buy a 360

Considering how steep some of the system requirements for games going from 360 to PC have been, it's not necessarily a given that you'll always be able to play the latest 360 games on your PC. Look at the requirements for Bioshock; hell, look at the ones for Assassin's Creed!!!

And coming from someone who has a PS3, I'd relax on calling it a better console, because what it is is a better deal for the money. Right now I use it about once a week, as my blu-ray player on the weekends.

Gl with ur 8600 GT. Its a crappy gfx card. But u can fool non-hermits that its a great card.

Cant run bioshock on full or CoD4. And just forget about upcoming games like assassins creed and alan wake.

I also tried world in conflict with this card... set everything to low, and still had a framerate of 10fps.... I gave up on "next-gen" PCgaming. Ill stick to the old game like company of heroes (cant run this old game on full with this card).

4. I don't know about you, but none of my gaming friends have a kickass PC to play with, I would much rather have a community of friends on LIVE then play with people like you on a PC.

5.With the 360 I don;t have to install, restart, change settings, find patch getting version 1.01.002, and 3 user mods to play on a private server with a clan that has been practicing for the past 2 months and get my ass handed to me. Instead I can simply throw in the game, invite a friend, and play on my 42" HDTV instead of my 22" monitor.

6.MGS4 will be a whopping 12-15 hours. That is it! What happens after that?

Even Halo 3 and Mass Effect will eventually come to PC.

In actuallity, hat is the real world we live in, and not the dream PS3 world of PS3 fanboys, 360 is more than enough to have, and can totally skip on PC, and definatly skip on PS3 too for the whole of 2008, that only has MGS4 to show and mostly shooters, like the sequel to KZ1, Haze , Resistance 2 etc NOT ONE RPG and generally laking in all other genres, that is a JOKE lineup for me in 2008 for PS3

So 360 > PC+PS3 anyday

Good point. If I remember 2 and 3, I thought it was about 50/50 or 40/60 in favor of gameplay. But yeah, you're basically paying 4-5$ per hour of entertainment. I'm sure the story will be good and all, but it is the final chapter (a lot of times endings to sagas can be a let down) and already promises have been broken (anyone remeber fully destructible environments promise?)
