I get why y'all are excited about free games with PSN+. For consumer's it's great but from a business perspective it leaves me scratching my head. If you're selling your system for a loss (Albeit a small loss this time) and in order to make money it has to come from software then why give so much software away? The way it's sounding I might buy a PS4, subscribe to PSN+, and then never buy a single game. Just play all the free stuff you get with PSN+. If I were to do that I'd actually cost Sony money, not make them any. Wow, no wonder they're so far in the red.

Um, all those f2p games you guys keep bragging about are PC ports: Warframe, Planetside 2, War Thunder, Blacklight Retribution, Don't Starve, and DCUO is a F2P on PC.

Um MGSV has been rumored that they want to release on PC, same with FF15. Deep Down they even made mention of the tech demo running on PC, and it hasn't been confirmed as exclusive.

you can wait a couple years while building your $2000 "rig".  meanwhile I will be enjoying those games on my console.

I already have a rig, under 2k.  If those games really meant that much, I would just buy a console. But all of that is irrelevant to what we were talking about

A totally free game would be a Freeware game. Free to play games are not the same as free games.

The 2 games I got from Sony when their network was down for a while were free games that otherwise cost money. Free to play games often still expect you to pay for some aspects.

So even if they are essentially free to play, they are not totally free.

PS Plus free for a 14 day trial.... that will give you DriveClub and ResoGun

Warframe is ofcourse, 100% free to play on PS4 (even without PS Plus)

 

So Launch day I will get Killzone: Shadowfall + 3 free games (Drive Club, Resogun, and Warframe)

Might pick up BF4 and Watch Dogs a couple weeks later.
