3 titles with score 9 or better in 6 weeks - wow!

August: Bioshock gets 9.0

September: Halo 3 gets 9.5

October: PGR 4. Considering that PGR3 (incredibly enough a launch game...) is still the best looking racer out there my guess is: 9.0 or better for PGR4!

It is surely a great time to be a Xbox 360 gamer. My only fear is that when the big holiday titles start appearing in November and December I won't have the time to play them all until next year! I've never ever had a console that 'forces' me to buy so many great games!

PGR can probably be released in Halo's shadow successfully because ultimately, you either like racing games or you don't. There really never seems to be a middleground. So, anyone who planned on picking up PGR, probably will right away.AYComputer

lol even if you like racing games, halo will still be bought by all the hype is that amazing, if a guy that like racing games goes into the store and sees halo 3 and pgr4, he is gonna choose halo 3 easily the hype is undniable.

I don't know about you, but I am sure that most people here will agree me when I say that Platformers are the most repetitive if all video game genres.I was never a big fan of the genre myself and I never really liked the Ratchet and Clank series (no, not because I am a lemming, I have played the game before).

I don't know, I loved a lot of 2D ones, but most (with the exception of Mario 64) didn't make a good 3D transition. I can't say I've really played one in years. If Galaxy is good and shakes things up a bit, I'll look forward to entering the genre again.

For what it's worth, I was under the impression that the R&C series is a decent seller and they release them rather often. Some people must like the genre.

Sounds about right.Ones so far - Forza 2, Halo 3 and Bioshock. Ones with real potential - World in Conflict and Mass Effect. I'm not trying to be dismissive of the other upcoming games but AAA seems really hard to get these days.

Why are you discounting multiplat titles? Assassin's Creed, CoD4 and Oblivion are 360 AAA or potential AAA titles too.

Well obviously I'm not becuase there is two multiplats in my list already. As I said AAA is hard to get these days and I don't think Assassin's Creed or COD 4 will be up to the task.

Those two games are honestly like the greatest freaking combo you can have with games. The fun just doesn't end... except when your clan and you lose a match during assault because the other team just massed only AA and heavy tanks...

The motion blur worked to great effect in PGR3. I have faith in it being just as good this time around.

Judging a racing game that speeds along at 100+mph from 'frozen' screenshots is a very strange thing to do.

No thanks. I'll enjoy WiC, an RTS, the way it's supposed to be played, on my PC. Not to mention, the 360 version has a different dev.

Ok so in 07 360 had 4 AAA games(Gears, Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW, and Oblivion) (PDZ was 06 and a launch game, for cows Call of Duty 2 is AAA on gameranking so either way 360 launched with a AAA game)

Now in 08 it has Forza 2, Bioshock, and Halo 3.

With potential hits in Project Gothem Racing 4, World In COnflict(could be a 9.0 on the 360 doubt it will tie the PC), andMass Effect

Throw in Call of Duty 4 and Assassins Creed as potential AAA games.

So the 360 could potential have 8 AAA games in 08 alone. 4 exclusives (PGR 4, Forza 2, Halo 3, and Mass Effect)
2 Multiplats that will also be on the PS3 (call of Duty 4 and assassins creed)
2 multiplats that it only shares with the PC (world in conflict and Bioshock)

Now if it hits that potential we might not have any cows here until 08.

Yay . Can't wait to get it on the 360 next year.

Poor 360 only...people? You guys get world in conflict by some random dudes. PC version was developed by some of the most passionate developers the community and I ever had the pleasure helping. I was just so surprised by how hard Massive worked on this game and they sure as heck aren't stopping anytime soon. WiC on the 360? I giggle. Besides, you'd be surprised by how optimized the game is. Why not try it on the PC?
