"Any Xbox 360 customer who experiences a general hardware failure indicated by three flashing red lights will now be covered by a three year warranty from date of purchase. All other existing Xbox 360 warranty policies remain in place"
that means come november all 360 users who bought it at launch will be on their last year. So my question is, when the warrenty drops and you get RROD after, what will you do?

still covered for at least another 2.5 years seeing how the warranty starts over with a console that's sent in for repairs. I'm not worried. :)
[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]Doesnt it renew if you get an RROD? :|Nedemisyes...yes it does :)
see thats what gets me. I dont think MS is that nice and I find it hard to believe it resets every time they give you a replacement

then you obviously don't know anything about what you're talking about. BTW...I went through 4 PS2's and Sony NEVER did one thing for me so does that mean that all companies must have horrible customer service?then you obviously don't know anything about what you're talking about. Well it all depends, was the PS2 under a warranty when it broke? if so then yes, that is bad Customer Service. If it wasnt then well there isnt anything they can do. Im just saying Iv never heard of a company reseting a warranty after you get a referbished 360(under the same warrenty). I dont think it resets I think they keep track of the first system you buy and any replacements are added to the records. I think the warranty only covers you for the 3 years you had your first system.

Im pretty sure once your 360 RROD's, the one you get back has a further 1 year warranty. But dont quote me on that.
I have had mine for a little over a year, I've had no problems yet anyway, more DREs with my Ps2 tbhflowdee79Same... but the PS2 has been out for several 3 year periods :P

pay the 100$ repair fee, after 3 years i think you should have to pay for a repair if needed

Yup. Amazing how so many people expect electronics to be covered forever. Like I said before, atleast MS had the balls to admit their problem rather quickly and offer the 3yr warranty instead of claiming it was user caused problems. Hi Sony.
What are you referring to? When my PS2 sony replaced it free ... twice.
And it was about 2-3 years after it was originally purchased.
After that it broke one more time in 2006 (the old models ate dust and got DRE problems quickly). Unlike microsoft's 100$ Sony only charged me 40$.
My gamecube broke the same night and nintendo charged me either a bit less or a bit more I can't remember.

Not if you were smart and got the 2 year extension for 60 bucks. Like me. Covered till 2011 and 2012!!!
what every normal customer does......lie about when u got ur 360Microsoft1234Thats not easy, though MS only know the manufacture for certain.
All i had to send to them to show i had bought it months after its manufacture date, so that i would remain in my first year and get general faults fixed was my play.com receipt which was VERY skimp on details, all it really had was purchase date, i couldve easily photoshopped it out
