The gameplay itself looked fun and all...but damn, no wonder Kojima was worried GTAV would show him up. Graphically, the game definitely isn't looking that hot. Poor anisotropic filtering (seriously, wtf is with next gen console games still not having this?), low res textures, blocky geometry, and some goofy looking vegetation. Should be a good game though, and at least they're staying at 60fps. That Jack Bauer Snake voice is really odd though.
The ability to simply float enemies off into the sky is a poor choice imo. It works too well. Dead/knocked out bodies should be hidden, not simply floated away in some ridiculous, magical manner. If they made it so you could only do it in an area where enemies weren't likely to spot the floating bodies, that'd be one thing, but as is, it's just too god-like and cheap.

Konami reps did mention that this is not how it will work in the final game. They received tons of complaints about how overpowered and immersion breaking the fulton system looks. I hope they follow through because as of right now it looks pretty bad.
I'm sure it will be limited since it costs GMP. If you spend all of your GMP fultoning soldiers you'll never afford research and development on weapons, items, base building, building your own Metal Gear, etc. I'm thinking it will be like Peace Walker were you're more likely to save your fulton uses for rescuing PoWs and special characters. If you want to extract a few soldiers, you'll probably clear an area and call in a chopper to pick them up. I just hope they make it to where near by enemies will notice their comrade being lifted away and increase security.
On the graphics though, I don't think it will get any better before launch. I hate what Kojima has done with the Big Boss games post-MGS3. Two of them on handhelds and now the final Big Boss game being a cross-gen title. This game should have been full on 'next gen'.
It's still looking like it could be the best MGS yet, but it could have been so much more impressive looking.
@dommeus
I've never played a single MGS game before in my life.... But apearently theres multiple Snakes.....
The Important ones being Big Boss (Punished Snake, Naked Snake) in MGS 5 and his son, Solid Snake (Old Snake) from MGS 4
Theres more but I don't know them.
@Lulu_Lulu:
This is Big Boss, the Snake from Peacewalker/MGS 3. He talks a lot in MGS3, so it is surprising not see him speak here
He speaks more with his facial expressions. Kojima has said that he replaced the previous english actor for someone who can act more with emotional faces. Less dialogue fluff I believe. All of the motion capture and such is done with english actors as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah , that floating to sky is just ludicrous ! it breaks even the immersion. hope they get rid of it
The game looks cool but i'm sorta getting this feeling of "could've been better" ..
This is probably the most impressive and most ambitious game of 2015 along with The Witcher 3. Notice I do not say the "best" games, but that MGSV demo convinced me that this game is worth buying on Day One. I have no idea how I will the learn backstory beforehand. Guess I better do some wiki reading because I have no desire to play the Legacy Collection just for research.
@The_Last_Ride: Looks good though this excessive pop up it a turn off , i guess is a small detail.
Well the game is at least a year off still, so we don't know how it really works when it's finished

True that
I am sure they will polish it more, and the small bugs or annoyences are probably gone by then

Yeah its not a big issue either way but i just noticed it and i dislike this when happens.
Game isn't even finished and likely won't release until late 2015, yet people are complaining about minor graphical inconsistencies. lol, just lol
Some of this looks really good. Mechanically it looks like a huge improvement over MGS4. But I don't like some of the sillier aspects like hiding in a cardboard box. They really sabotage the mood of the situations with stuff like that imo.
Also, being able to airlift bodies anytime drastically lowers the stakes of knocking someone out if you don't have to worry about them being seen.
Didn't those first two guards notice a random horse walking up to them?
Another thing is that the main objective itself towards the end was a bit disappointing. All he had to do was reach the documents and push a button really. Crysis 1 had a similar problem.
