I always wondered that too lol. I dont hate the 360, I still plan on getting one, just later, but Ive always thought those numbers were from a specific span of time, because think about it....All 360s are guarranteed to RROD no matter what. Just because you were one of the lucky people who havent seen it yet, dont worry, you just lasted longer Its not a % of how many consoles actually RROD, it is actually a % of a certain # of consoles that RROD'ed within a certain time span. that number was taken, and publiczed, as damage control by MS, to save the system from completely flopping(im talking literal damage control, not the SW damage controll). Now im not saying that the 360 is doomed, but every 360 Will RROD eventually, all they can do is make this time span longer.
and I dont know about you, but I plan to own my 360 much longer than 3 years, so what 3 years from now when it breaks (Which it is guarranteed to do eventually no matter what) and the warranty runs out im screwed?
I wish they would get this together, I dont trust the jasper, i might just wait until they decide to scrap the design alltogether, and redesign it to be more efficient. I dont know why they havent done that yet, looks like all theyve done so far is shell out money to cover up all their mistakes instead of fixing it. like the sink is flooded, but rather than turning off the water, or for that matter even mopping the watter up, while the sink is still on, they just try to give everybody a pair of wetboots.
