[QUOTE="gamebreakerz__"][QUOTE="FPSfan1985"] Gamecube was also release after the only peice of hardware it was more powerful than. If the specs for the next xbox are anywhere near true, the Wii U is already lost. It will have two GPUS, not in SLI, but working on two separate frames at once. That will destroy even PCs. I have high hopes for the next xbox if any of the leaked info is true. Thats what I expect from a next gen console. Or else I see no reason to upgrade. Not going to spend money on old tech.phonemug
If those rumors are true you are going to be dropping A LOT of cash for the nextbox. Either way a 4 core AMD APU with another graphics card won't come close to the most high end PC's, and will be obsolete less than halfway into the gen like the 360 was this gen.Why do PC gamers always fail to neglect that consoles have closed box architectures and get much better performance than PC's with equal spec as a result?
PC gamers also fail to realize that careful optimization can make games released on consoles with abysmal specs (Xbox 360, PS3), quite respectable in terms of visuals.
It's amazing what the current consoles are able to do, considering how absolutely ancient their tech is.
Even if the specs for consoles are not that great next gen, they'll still be able to achieve incredible things.
