Where do you guys get the idea that MGS4 sells systems? What were the Japanese sales of MGS3? They certainly didn't even crack a million.

Sure they will. But those two games still can't compete to what Nintendo has to offer in Japan in terms of software.

Have you looked at the sales?  PS3 will be extremely fortunate to match GameCube.  By the time either of those games launch, it'll be over for the PS3 in Japan.  It's already over.

If you still don't beleave Japan is a dominator in Consoles and making games for them here is more proof of ever console ever made how many were made in Japan?

and of the 5 new Systems (PSP,PS3,Nintendo Wii,Nintendo DS, and the 360) is that 75%? do yourself a favor do research before disputing an obvious reason because to think that Japan doesn't release more games on Consoles is just plain stupid. i mean cmon man Sony and nintendo are japanese companys they make there own games , that added on the the independant devs it's the majority. MS said it themselves if they wanna win they have to be successfull in Japan. Americans have the Majority on PC's but Japan doesn't Make PC games so what would they make? ummmmm Console games dur dur dur.

I bet you that when Halo 3 is released in Japan it makes it to the top 5!

the Xbox 360 is currently failing in the land of Japan. the PS3 has already sold Double the 360 consoles sold. this is not good seeing how the fact that the killer App Blue Dragon is already out. This means Japanese publishers will make there games for PS3 in Japan maybe they may see a port to the american 360 if your lucky lemmings, Looks like Japan really hated the first Xbox and don't wanna buy another one or maybe there waiting for Halo 3 rofl yeah right.peacebringer

Two quick points:

1) X360 was never going to beat PS3 in that market.....from the looks of it they never even tried.  They concentrated on what matters to them, the US market.

2) Wii is killing both PS3 and X360 in that market.  SOE has nothing to gloat about lol.

2. the 360 is STILL #1 worldwide

Inital sales mean nothing and I would be surprised if the Wii hype evne makes it through this summer.

America is the biggest market for video games..  and xbox 360 is killing the PS3..pilotc
