360 and PS3's new battle.

Cows and lemmings are fighting a never ending war for almost three years so far, this week the war had been settled a little bit after the megaton score for MGS4 and alot of past claims from lemmings are vanished specially the "just wait" slogan against the PS3, now the war is becoming more intense.

The question is, which console can dethrone the Wii unmatched sales? could it happen? and if it could, how ?

Analysis:

360 : this console is being hit massively this month because of the MGS4 release, however, in the upcoming months there are alot of promising titles that will minimize the damage and hopefully get it back on track.

PS3 : This console has a massive sales boast from MGS4 and most people were waiting for such a game to be released for the PS3, also there are alot of fans waiting for the same game and the PS3 is also going to get some great games for the upcoming months.

So which console could possibly slow the sales of the Wii?

You defended Socom by claiming there are alot of "Socom fans".

Infamous could be a hit OR like a Crackdown (which is not bad but not amazing).

Making assumptions like WKS will be better than LO is just stupid.

Resistance is gonna be awesome because it has a 60 person multiplayer? Lets say it has horrible lag.

Fable 2 may not be as good as people say but it'll be solid. Too Human gets a bad rep from people which is sad. It'll be a must have title.

I think it is Sony's and MS's best shot from now on to the upcoming months to gain ground on the wii because Nintendo has already released their big games and there is almost nothing compared to be released for the Wii that is in the same level of Zelda, Mario, SSBB..etc.

its gonna be a tough toss up, despite the fact that i enjoy the ps3's line up better, R2, Socom Confrontatio, LBP so on and so fourth the 360 has a great one too, GeoW 2, Fable 2, Too Human so on and so fourth its gonna be a great season for people who own both systems

Yeah I meant in the games department.

But like St1ka...I'm hyped for Gears but I'm much more interested in the new IPs of Infinite Undiscovery and Too Human and I can't wait to try the new Banjo.

But hey I'm not a PS3 hater. I will be buying one soon I just don't think it has the games yet but it will in 09.

Thats what Im talking about, it is not just a war between 360 and PS3, there is a third console and it is dominating, Sony and MS should focus on their consoles instead of cutting each others throat.

I hate to break it to some of you guys, but there is no such thing as System Wars. It's simply companies doing anything just to get you to buy their products. It doesn't really matter who comes in first, second or third place because in the end they'll still getting your money. It's all business, that's all it is.

I hate to break it to some of you guys, but there is no such thing as System Wars. It's simply companies doing anything just to get you to buy their products. It doesn't really matter who comes in first, second or third place because in the end they'll still getting your money. It's all business,that's all it is.

Being in first place is a big advantage for companies to dominate the market you know...it does really matter alot.

For a new buyer i'd say the 360 only because of the larger library, and the mega hits it's had in the past, as opposed to ps3 which right now has one must have game, the 360 and ps3 in the future are never going to compare with the wii, just like gamecube and xbox 1 couldnt compare with ps2 last generation.

Oddly enough all the cretics and analysts said that this gen would be a close match, but they were wrong once again.

I'm hyped for gears 2, and ninja gaiden 2 is a greatly fun game also. Not sure baout infinte undiscovery and never palyed fable before, but i'd give it a try.

I personally don't care much for the entire mgs series, which is why for me a 360 is the way to go, but those that love it, they got their game, so game on already.

I hope they all do well, Im skeptical about Too human and Infinite Undiscovery though.

none of these games have the casual appeal the Wii does, if GTA couldnt do it, if metal gear couldnt do it, if singstar (hey its pretty big here in europe) couldnt do it i dont see what can, the only ammo i see left is final fantasy and even then it might only affect Japan leavin the other areas relatively unchanged
