Geometry Wars began its life as a minigame within Project Gotham Racing 2, which released in 2003. If anything both FlOw and Super Stardust ripped of Geometry Wars. Not to mention the fact that Geometry Wars has outscored both games.

My point, was that from what I've seen so far, Sony is taking a more "now" and "new" approach. And that MS is taking a "classic" port approach. And, I felt, that Sonywas doing a better job at being a "next gen" console and helping to advance gaming. Buuut, there have been some nice posts of some nice games for XBLA.. Some.

That's the point of these threads. Let's put it out there. Let's actually see what you have that's worth a crap,all sides. And this thread happens to be directed at the new downloadables. Is this that hard, guys and girls?

There's been a select few in here that have actually shown pictures of games that equal or rival the PSN titles. I think we may have had to wait until page 10 or so before this actually occurred And I have readily admitted when I thought those games were of quality.

The list I formulated myself USING Wikipedia did not have old ports. If it did it would've been a hell of a lot longer.

And all the Wikipedia entries are sourced with confirmations. Just because Gamespot hasn't picked up on them doesn't mean they don't exist when the people making the games are saying they are.

You have been consistantly and frequently owned by multiple people in this thread, to the point where it's no longer even funny. i'm not the one creating threads with no basis for comparison like you are doing, then trying to pass this off as "fact"....

this is about you, sport... and the fact you've never been on xbl nor played any of their games, yet feel qualified in saying they're subpar in quality to PSN's offerings...

from what you've "seen so far" includes sony can do no wrong (even tho the sales of the console PROVE otherwise), PSN is "better" even tho waaaaay more gamers are connected to xbox live, even with a $50 fee per year, and that xbla offerings aren't as good in quality, even tho waaaaay more gamers have d/l xla games than psn games, and sony is the only one to "advance gaming", even tho they're using outdated hardware that was never designed for gaming.

we've already proven that xbla has more to offer yet NONE of the dozens of titles are better than the 5 titles you listed in PSN.

My definition of new is: A game newly developed to be available for download (whether its released on disc makes no difference). A game that devs actually had to create images and sound for, just for the system its released on. Not an old classic that was left, virtually, untouched. Adding online, does not = revamping a game.

Examples:

Socom Confrontation: It was a prior game they totally re-did. This is how I think the "classic" games should be done, like pacman on XBLA. Even though its an old game, its been completely remapped to be an HD title with today's graphics.

LBP - Completely new IP. Never been done before.

If this is not specific enough, let me know.

Hextic HD...? not new?

Marble Blast? not new?

Texas Hold 'em? not new?

Uno? not new?

heck even geometry wars is new compared to the original version...:roll:

Golden Axe > all, i'm sorry but even though its ported from the crap version of the game (Genesis) and is missing levels, is incredibly short has naff matchmaking and a total of 5 buttons to push its still the best game to download EvErrrrrrrrrr (on xbl). Uno is kick *** too online, oh yeah and geometry wars. While we're at it Alien Hominid, Castlevania SOTN, Lumines, Hexic HD, Sonic and soon to be Behemoth title castlecrashers which looks amazing!
