Yeah, a warranty sure makes up for selling a product that has a well documented flaw, as opposed to reworking the system to fix the issues.but what happens when the warranty runs out on on a system with reliability issues?
does ms renew the warranty when they fix the system?
It isn't mine. I share a room with my brother, and it's his. (He's selling me it, so that's why I keep saying I'm getting it soon)A H.I.M. sticker... :(

I really need to take that thing down, that's basically the wall of bands I never listen to anymore.Um, people like me who have had RRoD (especially more than once) sure care. People like you shock me. Who cares if they sell a system with known defects, just bury your head, ignore it, and hope it does not happen to you! That is insane. Consumers should have demanded MS fix the system. Period.[QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"][QUOTE="DeadMagazines"] Who the hell even cares anymore? Just get over it and it won't be a problem. shutdown_202
Im just as shocked as you are. Reading your little debate here suprises me how accepted RRoD is. Like it should happen. I still havent got the RRoD yet (2005 and still ballin baby) but theres no denying how big the problem and how someone can get annoyed. I feel sorry for the few 360 owners that want free live.
Dare i say it, thats why they're called lemmings *runs off*
I'm sure the reason why most lems are a little more tolerant to RROD is the same reason cows were tolerant with DRE.[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="aaronmullan"] It isn't mine. I share a room with my brother, and it's his. (He's selling me it, so that's why I keep saying I'm getting it soon)

kalmah own!"But wifi is not needed. Wireless is not good for playing games online."http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/23/rumor-discount-xbox-360-elite-halo-3-bundle-coming-to-canada/#continued
"Another day, another Xbox 360 Elite price cut rumor. This time, said gossip comes to us in the form of a tipster (who wishes to remain anonymous), whose unnamed Canadian retail outlet is adding a new SKU to its store shelves -- a $349.99 Xbox 360 Elite bundle which includes a copy of Halo 3 and a network adapter. Considering both of those items still carry fairly heftyprice tags, that's one heck of a deal.
Said tipster sent in four photos (the others are posted after the jump) and a supposed street date for the Canadian bundle -- August 28. Another interesting bit of info: The tipster also claimed that a new shipment of Xbox 360 Arcades carry no mention of the supposedly-soon-to-be-phased-out Pro model. If you're a Canadian retail employee who can shed some light onto the veracity of this new bundle, -- and as always, we'll respect your anonymity. We'll also respect your anemones. And your enmity!"DumbDubya
Does this mean M$ doesn't agree with this point?
For people who actually want WiFi that's a decent deal. I never use WiFi for gaming since it's unreliable compared to wired, but some people don't care so if they live in Canada and want H3+wifi then here's a bundle that suits them.
On a side note, whenever the 360 regains is price/value advantage over the PS3 the cows go right back to their bread n butter...
RROD!!!!
Please. If you believe the PS3 is the gods' chosen console then exercise some faith and stop making excuses.

Agreed. I don't have a problem with the network adapter not being included with the 360... but to charge $100 for it? That's insane and greedy. I thought I wasn't going to have Live for a while because my 360 was in my room and the router is in my sisters, but luckily I was able to connect my 360 to my computer that has a wireless adapter and get internet from my router that way.

Me not having to pay for it…..I don't use Wi-fi…..I never will…..I don't like paying for things I don't use…..Or more to the point……I don't like paying for features so other people can use them…
I agree with how MS approached Wi-Fi…I disagree on the cost of the add-on…

Yeah, a warranty sure makes up for selling a product that has a well documented flaw, as opposed to reworking the system to fix the issues. Well documented flaw from like 2006-2008... Its 2009. When was the last serious case of RROD? Seriously, get off the RROD train. The 360 failure rate is NOTHING like it was its first few years, and even then THE RROD was hardly the most glaring issue. IT was simply the only issue people decided to point out on message boards. Freezing was the big issue that no one talked about. 2 systems I had replaced because of freezing, and then one with DRE, but guess what. Not a single RROD, and my current 360 which ive had for over a year now has been failure free... so lets takea look at this for a second... ive had roughly a 66% failure rate with my 360s (freezing on my initial, DRE on my next, failure free on my current) If RROD was so prominant, it should have affected me atleast once especially since i had my other 360s for over 6 months before they even had the first problems.[QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"]Don't forget the added RRoD, thrown in for free courtesy of MS.sikanderahmed

didnt that only cover launch models? yes. new one only get ones only get a 1 year warrenty. All models have the 3 year rrod and E74 warranty in addition to the standard 1 year warrenty for everything else. People need to stop acting like faulty consoles are a new thing. Ps1's and 2's had very prevalent problems, the nes had problems. Should they be acceptable? No. Are they something new? No.

On the contrary, the 360 is my favorite system this generation. I never made such an assumption. I am just pointing the fact that while the 360 has a huge problem, they were willing to take responsibility and correct the issue on their dime, while Sony on the other hand, while they caused the issue with a faulty update, they basically said tough, pay me.Firmware update 2.40. So we all did forget. If you were out of warranty (1 year), you had to pay for the repair. Funny thing is that this was a mandatory update.

m$ gonna release 360 with natal or 360 with built in natal for probably 400 bucks thats what im guessing. the new rare game will showcase natal and be bundled with it
$349.99 is a GREAT deal for someone who has never had a 360 before. I've refused to buy a 360 until the Black Elites come with Jasper's (like the Arcades and Res 5 Bundles). If any ofthese new Fall 09'elite models are Jasper equipped, I'm grabbing one for the minihome theater I'm building (see my blog!). Anyone proven that the new Fall 09 Elite (without a pack-in) are Jaspers??? Or mabye they are still clearing out old falcon inventory?
Fall 09 bundle?
