360 Fan here buying the MGS4 PS3 bundle tommorow.

Guess we all know that MGS4 wont be coming to the 360 due to MS not having the correct storage media. Ever since Carmack from ID talked about the whole MS charging for 3rd disc . I have a feeling that Konami will not like to spend fees on 5-6 disc game. So i am not going to live in a fantasy world hoping that they will bring it. instead i am just going to go out and buy the bundle pack. ALso RFOM2, KZ2, are looking very tasty now.

so my Question to PS3 owners here, any games that is a must buy for the ps3?

Ratchet and clank TOD

Warhawk + the DL packs

Moterstorm (unless you are getting moterstorm 2)

Resistance (unless you are getting resistance 2)

Thats what I would most recommend personally.

Uncharted and Rachet & Clank, ninja gaiden sigma is all I can think of right now.

maybe Motorstorm and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue if you're into racing games

I definitely reccomend buying some addition games with Metal Gear Solid 4.

This is why:

Metal Gear Solid 4 is excellent while it lasts, but the game goes by extremely fast even playing at a slow pace. It is not a very meaty game. You'll be almost taken aback by how quick the individual acts end.

Uncharted and Ratchet are perfectly good additional games, though they'll both seem seriously underwhelming after playing MGS4. But you can enjoy Uncharted's graphics, which I find stronger than MGS4's if only because the environments are stronger visually.

Little Big Planet and Valkyria Chronicles, Check Disgaea 3 III as well that one looks pretty good.AgentA-Mi6

Mmm these games need to be out so I can buy and play them only thing I got this month for PS3 is Disgaea 3, picking up Too Human because of nothing else being around to buy!

The majority of PS3 games are also available on the 360.

I'd recommend Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Its really the only PS3 game other than MGS4 I wish by some miracle could come to the 360.

EDIT: for the future, Little Big Planet should also be a fun time.

uncharted and ratched & clank are must buys imo, great gameplay + graphics.

Also look into gran turismo prologue for some 1080p racing goodness, The Buzz quiz game is also good if your into casual gaming.

It is pretty good. Warhawk is very fun. Its not so much tactical, more just shoot what you can see but thats pretty cool. Plus it has splitscreen online multiplayer so you can play online with a fried which is awsome.

Resistance is ok but I never got into it. I did not bother with the story as I felt it was not told well. But the online is very good the first map you should do online is cathedral.

Also do you let your roommate on your 360? You shouldnt as he does not let you on the ps3.

So far I only have Soul Calibur 4. I would probably say Uncharted, Folklore, and maybe Ratchet & Clank. I say stay away from Resistance, IMO its quite blah..ArisShadows

I agree about Resistance, very vanilla game. If I had to reccomend just one, I'd definitely say Uncharted. There's something extremely charming about its simplicty and purity.

I'm a Lemming that went the same route. I encourage you to do it, but there isn't anything else that's compelling aside from what comes in the box. You're pretty much buying a BluRay player. Even MGS4 was a BD movie with brief moments of gameplay. Great experience as a MGS fan but don't plan on using the bathroom if you clear a level. Trophie support is scarce, basic 360 features from 2005 are few, and the PSN community don't speak on mics. MGO is atrocious. Going from XBL to signing up for and playing that will disgust you. Try to get a SOCOM beta from gamestop preorders. That's one of my last hopes for this console. Just waiting for Sept 1st to play the beta.

I done exactally as you are going to do a week after mgs4 came out.

In my opinion its not worth it.

Mgs4 was amzing but terrible online, so i got rid of it after a few playthroughs

uncharted was good, but the combat was week, no online options and waaay too short

resistance was the most bland average shooter i have yet played, soooo overrated

R&C- was alright but just the same as the others in the series

Warhawk- was ok, but why waste my time playing that when you could play halo or cod4

and now i find myself waiting for games to come out, which is pretty week after only having the conosole for a month

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

There are some great multiplats to consider as well :

Burnout Paradise (Criterion's Favorite Version)

Devil May Cry 4 (no annoying Loading)

Grand Theft Auto 4 (The Install improves the game for me, I have both version's)

This is more the kinda thing you would post in the PS3 board.. but anyhow.

Anything by Insomanic is good. (Resistance and Ratchet)

Motorstorm is fairly decent also.

update, just got back . so far so good. i ended up getting all of the POC on blu ray, The Departed, and NIN on blu ray. as for games, i picked up Warhawk, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and GT5P. man i wish i picked up a ps3 earlier when Uncharted came out. I just got to stage 2 and so far this game is very awesome in terms of graphicss and gameplay.

yea, get uncharted and warhawk. two great games

My recommendations

1. Play Resistance Fall of Man first (you can just rent it if you want) to get yourself ready for the amazing looking sequel which will be a "must buy" imo or you can pick it up for $30 and get some good value out of it through co-op or online.
2. Buy Warhawk + DLC if you like great online games. It goes on to my "must buy" list , at the very least it should be a "must try" if you're not too sure about it.
3. Play Uncharted , it is a "must play" for any ps3 owner who likes action/adventure games or great games in general. You can just rent it if don't like to replay games or chase trophies ...... but either way , you should have a great time with the game.
4. Now play MGS4 ! Simply incredible.

Other things to note.

• Motorstorm and GT5 Prologue are good games , but it might be wise to wait for the upcoming games in the franchise.
• Heavenly Sword and Ratchet and Clank are good games imo , I think ps3 owners should play through them both at some point ...... you can just rent them to save yourself some money.
• MLB The Show (best baseball game on the market) and Hot Shots Golf are very good sports games , I personally always like Hot Shots over Tiger Woods if you care.
• Lots of good PSN stuff and lots of good more "niche" games like Folklore , Eye Of Judgement , and Singstar if you're into those things.

some ps3 games u should get (besides mgs4): resistance fall of man, resistance 2, god of war 3, motorstorm, motorstorm 2, ridge racer 7, little big planet, ratchet and clank series,killzone 2, infamous, warhawk, heavenly sword, uncharted drakes fotune..(only naming exclusives..)

A few PS3 exclusives I would recommend you are: Resistance: FOM (It's a launch title, yeah, but it will give you a taster of the series and set you up well for Resistance 2, and it's pretty cheap right now.)

Motorstorm (Same reasons as Resistance really)

Uncharted (It won't last you long, but for the time it does last it will be good, and now that it has trophies you might want to come back to it at times)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma (If you never played the first Ninja Gaiden, this is a must have if you enjoy the series)

Warhawk (Best multiplayer game on the PS3)

Siren: Blood Curse (Brilliant Survival Horror game)

Hot Shots Golf 5 (If you like the series then I would highly reccomend it)

They should all be quite cheap aswell now, apart from Siren. I hope you enjoy your purchase :D

Oh yeah and Ratchet and Clank, exellent platformer.
