previous FF have always appeared 1st in Japan, then NA, then EU .. all with around 6 months of delay due to language and localisation issues.
Please, AT LAUNCH? Yeah, i could also say at Launch of the xbox720,
2010.. LOL ~!!!!!!!!!
They still dont have to Buy a Ps3 to play it, Ps3 sales massively PWNED and because of this loss it will never surpass 360 sales, how does that sounds?AgentA-Mi6
Most people wont care that it will also come for 360 and since its a timed exclusive they will buy a PS3 for this game. Are you still getting it for 360 even if it comes out 6 months- 1 year later?
"When Microsoft revealed yesterday that Final Fantasy XIII was coming to Xbox 360, they were only telling half the story. At a Q&A session with Square Enix after the press conference, we learned the truth.
The Japanese developer won't even begin working on the Xbox 360 version until the PS3 version is finished. The Square Enix representatives were frank on this point: porting the game will take a long time. And after it's ported, it'll still have to be localised.
Realistically, that'll mean a gap of around a year between the two — and the PS3 version is still a long, long way off. There is little hope for FFXIII landing on the 360 this side of 2010.
This whole venture is a last-minute development; the decision to port to 360 was only made a few days ago.
Another aspect of the FFXIII development process that's been largely overlooked is that Square Enix already has the game running on PC. They have yet to decide whether they'll release it on that format, however. They may just be using it as a development environment at this stage.
Another factor to consider: FFXIII is being created for PS3 with Crystal Tools (formerly known as The White Engine), Square Enix's proprietary technology for PS3 development. A whole new engine may be needed to get the game working on the 360."
i have a strong feeling its gunna be a timed exclusive in NA and EU or canned completely when Square realizes its gunna be a **** to put on the 360. But its a definite exclusive on ps3 in japanblazinpuertoroc
So now the PS3 has been beat down to having to use regional exlcusives as cannon fodder?
This is what Square saysin the Gamespot interview
The reply was that the PS3 version is on track to be completed as scheduled, and that the 360 version will be ported from it. According to Square Enix, there should not be a delay in order to bring both versions to release.

No, it will be released on the same day. Check again.
Blargh. This is so irritating. 2010? I suppose versus won't release until 2015?

I think so. But I know for sure they are completing Ps3 version first then porting it.
Going to be released in Japan first over other territories of course.

Did your account get hacked...? Because I could have sworn you were a PS3 fanboy yesterday.
That site won't load. I've tried on Firefox, Safari, and IE6. Either way, how long do you really think the porting process will take once the game is completed? I'm thinking 5-6 months tops. I don't understand why SquareEnix would say "at launch" if it's not coming on day one. Whatever, Sony still lost their biggest 3rd party exclusive so they are still owned.MadExponent
I don't know, something isn't right. I think it's going to be the same time because Ps3 version has to be localized also.
The way Square Enix explained it, it sounds like it will launch on the PS3 exclusively in Japan first and will then be localized for a simultaneous launch in North America and Europe. So if anything this just means that both versions will hit North America in 2010.KD-Archangelthen it will be delaying the PS3 version in the process thus going back on their word. Why must they be so confusing?

And why would Square Enix stress a "simultaneous release" if they were going to immediately back out on that claim in a single day? Seems fishy to me.[QUOTE="Chutebox"][QUOTE="MadExponent"]That site won't load. I've tried on Firefox, Safari, and IE6. I find it hard to believe MS would pay for a multiplat that is being released well after the Ps3 version.
