Seriously though. Ever since the beginning of 2008, PS3 has had the better exclusives with better graphics, whereas the only thing the 360 has going for it is the lower price. Multiplats are absolutely equal for both consoles. And of course the PS3 has always had much more reliable hardware. So, worse exclusives + lower price console = 360 = more for casual gamers.

Status after another ignorant person: unchanged. Gears of War 2 is the graphics king on consoles as of now. Deal with it. And be happy with Killzone 2 until another game comes out months after and trumps Killzone 2. This is now. It's Gears of War 2.

Hardcore Gamers do.

Accessibility is a different issue. Casual gamers don't neccesarily have to suck at games. I think the media has this wrong. The WII is as accessible to Casual gamers as the PS3.

However, the Wii is more accessible to Begginer gamers then the PS3 is. I think we should start defining by accessibility to begginers and advanced gamers.

The X360 is probably more accessible to Begginer gamers then the PS3 just due to its more well known software library. However, I don't think its a huge difference.

The Wii and DS cater to a WIDE range of gaming abilities and needs. The x360, PS3, and PC narrow down the niches.

Nope, all platforms are casual.
No gaming company wants to limit their amount of consumers by only appealing to the smaller demographic.

Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft offer casual consoles and then each offer varying incentives to the "hardcore" audience.
It's the number of incentives which is continuously debated, for whatever reason.
