[QUOTE="BreakingPoint8"]They can't get the main Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest franchise, however they seem to be in good with tri-Ace (Infinite Undiscovery) so I think their best shot is landing Star Ocean 4 as an exclusive. Let's face it, the Xbox 360 will never be main stream in Japan, so they need to appeal to the niche market. Get Atlus, tri-Ace and Namco Bandai exclusives and build up a good library of RPGs.[QUOTE="haris12121212"]The 360 JRPGs are all new IPs. Its great but imo they need the support from already established jrpg franchise to get things going in japan somewhat better. Games like Star Ocean, FF, Dragon Quest, Tales of, Suikoden are some of the established solid jrpg franchise.haris12121212
Exclusive Mistwalker support will help them stay alive in Japan.
Also releasing a new Blue Dragon game every 2 years would go along way in making the Xbox brand more popular in Japan. Hell, it pretty much bumped the Xbox 360 from dead to life support in Japan by itself. The console is selling faster than the original Xbox as well as selling alot more software. I think Blue Dragon is at around 210,000 sold in Japan.
Doesn't Square publish Star Ocean, and got some deal with Tri-Ace (Not sure though) But yeah I know there is no chance of Xbox getting the Main DragonQuest, FF game. Which imo is sad since I would like the franchise to be multiplatform.Yes it's published by Square Enix, they're also publishing Infinite Undiscovery. Microsoft cut some deal with them I believe so I don't think getting Star Ocean 4 as an Xbox 360 exclusive would be too farfetched considering Nintendo has Dragon Quest and Sony has the main Final Fantasy series. The Xbox 360 getting tri-Ace games would even the playing field this generation.
It would also go hand in hand with their equal support policy this generation as well as their plan to increase profits in the West.
