thats what i've heard a lot of people say, who aren't complete fanboys (except sony fanboys). even though microsoft and nintendo fanboys will disagree, he does put up good points and it does sound true.
Dude, you speak my language. I have no idea why mouth breathing PS3 fanboys keep spouting this 10 year console BS. It's total crap. No one here will be playing the PS3 in 2017, or 2012 for that matter. Consoles come out every 5 years or so. What do people keep making this argument? Not to mention the fact that pretty much every PS2 game being released now is a 5/10 scoring pile of crap, with the occasional 6.5 or 7. Just look at the PS2 reviews for the last couple months.

God of War II, GrimGrimoire, The Red Star,and Persona 3 say do some research.
Odin Sphere and Guilty Gears got good reviews also
This guy is a complete fanboy. The 360 had 1080p long before the elite. In fact the 360 had 1080p before the PS3 was even relelased. I listened to the first 7 minutes or so and the guy says nothing that means anything. MS released an HD console a year before sony, yet somehow the PS3 "led the HD era". The 360's downloadable movies came a scant 5 days after the PS3 launch, AND the HD drive was released before the PS3. All he does is try to use the prior generations success to show the PS3 will succeed, even though the 360 is kind of like the PS2 of this generation and the PS3 is the xbox of this generation from a release date perspective, library size differential perspective, and the user base perspective. His argument is that the PS3 is future proof, but makes zero distinction about what good being future proof is if the competion has a new machine with those same capabilities by the time those "future" technologies become commonplace. He also talks about everything being built in to the PS3 but forgets to mention that all that raised the cost and cost is the biggest reason the PS3 finds itself in a distant 3rd place. His argument is also based on if the 360 never gets anymore games than what it has right now...the PS3 will get good games in the future, as will the 360, but the 360's new games also add on to the big foundation of games they ALREADY have. The guy is clueless.
