360 owners: do you use the optional install feature? (Poll)

Just wondering. I only have a PS3 so I have to install games. Most game installs are fine, but DMC4 was a bit out of hand (took too long).

However, I thought it was a lame tactic for MS to be promoting the "no mandatory install" as a feature and advantage. Not every xbox has a hard drive (although I am sure the great majority does), so it is not a feature but something that they are forced to comply.

So 360 owners, do you really skip the install? Doesnt that slow your load times during gameplay, especially for upcoming games like GTA that you will be spending many hours?

On the side note, who voted that half/half?

The first game on the 360 that will offer an optional install is GTA4. No game prior has had one (although I think oblivion could have run smoother with one.)

I will be using it as I do not mind the wait for better performance being that I am a long time PC gamer.

Yes, if it does, I will use it, as I will be playing GTA for quite a while.

Seems like you never touched or owned a 360 in your life.

Even without a HDD on your 360 you could still play these games just fine.

There is no mandatory or even optional install with 360 games.

Imagine if your PS3 didn't have a HDD and you have those mandatory installs, what would happen then?

The PS3 would be paralyze without a HDD, while the 360 can still function without one.

The first Xbox had a standard Hard drive. i can't recall having to install anything.
