ANd now uir trying to make it seem like PS3 won. Sorry, it did not.

[QUOTE="mulac2910"]I had mine freeze on my 360 multiple times after the 1st cutscene. Cleard the cache and managed to play the game right through, however it started freezing agin while trying to get some achievements and gave me the RROD for the 1st time ever..... :( Ukapx
Serious what a shame.
Heheheh.. I got my first RROD from that game also. No freezes yet tho. I've logged 60+ hours on the game. Maybe the 120gb HDD has something to do with that.

or maybe theres a thread on xbox.com with a bunch of people saying they're having freezing issues with GTA on the 360 and you're just a sour lemming and dont want to admit that. btw ps3 did not win. the ps3 version launched with issues that were fixed via a patch, server issues on rockstar side. now both version have/had problems and just like before both versions are identicle
I haven't had a problem with the 360 version, but I did have the problem with the PS3 where you had to sign out of PSN to get the game to load.
So what? It's well known that both versions have had problems.
And everytime a big release comes out people blame the game for causing their 360 to RROD.
Yeah' let's just completely forget that the 360 hardware is pure garbage....
A number of gamers are reporting that the Xbox 360 version of the game is causing major freezing issues and the 'Red Ring of Death' for a minority of consoles. A thread which is running over on Xbox.com reveals the full extent of the problem.
Further investigation by another member lead to this:
"As it stands, there's no fix. But we did some research and believe we have the answer as to why this is happening.
Rockstar, in their very finite wisdom designed the game to have no loading times. That's great, except for the fact that GTA IV now overloads the cache and causes a lock-up (freeze). So now, instead of saving load times and providing a seamless experience, Rockstar has forced some machines to crash while attempting to load from the cache.
The solution: Rockstar needs to release a patch that limits the strain on the RAM right out of the gate. Can they even do this? Who knows? They haven't managed to make a game that doesn't freeze in two years. Unless you count the mega epic "Table Tennis"."
Another member has reported other issues with the game as well: "Im having a freezing issue but another issue aswell. When I put the game in my disk stops spinning, makes scratching noises, and then works for 5 mins or freezes right away. Ive replaced the disk 2 times now and each disk has the same problems. But its just GTA not any other disk i have. This happening to anyone else?"
The thread which is now 1,800 posts long and has received 65,000 views is yet to receive any response from Microsoft or Rockstar.

If that was the case, ALOT more consoles would be having this issue.
[QUOTE="Ukapx"][QUOTE="river_rat3117"]im not tech smart, but wouldnt that have been avoided if it had an install option in the game for the 360?-Ninja_Dog-
Could have worked but what about those with no HDD,
Side note i feel sorry for those getting the RROD.
And Aliens have landed on the planet Alantis.
RROD is dead.
The only people who get those are people the don't own a 360.
I have 2 360 and no problems with RROD.
lawl i really hope you're joking
anyway, i haven't had any problems so far, and i'm halfway done with the game, but then again i have a newer 360
[QUOTE="Gaara79"]Wow I had completely forgotten about that. Havent had problems myself. The PS3 version had the same problems too btw.Ukapx
I have not had one freeze whilst playing the game (PS3), maybe its cause i have the 40 GB version ?
might be had problems with freezing but it only happened twice since i turned off auto-save never had the problem again

This, my friends, is denial at its best. :)
I love it when people say "I had such and such console for X amount of years/days and had no problems". - Yeah, as if 2 consoles represent the entire amount of 360's on the market right now.
This goes for anyone btw...even in the PS3 forums when people post about their PS3 dying, then people claim troll and say "I've had mine since launch, no probs, go away troll".
Gimme a break
Quick Gamespot to the press!! This is news story that can't be missed!!!
Oh wait, that wouldn't fit into your pro-microsoft agenda...
Cbok
Agreed.
I stopped reading at "360 GAME CAUSES RROD"
Literally every time a new game comes out, someone happens to get RROD while playing and instantly spams "THIS GAME GAVE ME RROD"
[QUOTE="-Ninja_Dog-"]360 version is better the than PS3 version.
No problems here.
-sharp-shooter-
Dude its the same thing! quit being a fanboy. I even own a 360 and not a PS3
i think what he is trying to say is the fact that the PS3 has had more of the freezing problem than the 360.... im not sure though so dont take my word for it.
I never had any problems playing, and those RROD are probably not caused because of the game.EuroMafia
agreed...this happens any time a big game comes out for the 360. Why because they are playing games more often on their system then they were before. kinda sad if you think about it
