Well, you compared me to another guy, so I don't know. It's funny, because all I did was ask some questions instead of blindly moving on to the next topic, and because of my nonconformity, I'm being blasted.

DISNEYLAND IS AWESOME, but it's still bound to have issues/problems.

Well, as great as the 360 is doing, it's not perfect, we 360 gamers could use a few more high quality exclusives during the year, not just at Holiday Season, Right? Is it just me, no, this article showed me that, at least.

Can't a guy ask a question or make a post in a thread without being jumped on. Too much assumption in SW. You should read my first post in this thread, because of all the posters, I'm surprised I'm the one being jumped on.

There is some CRAZY Hardcore fanboy's out there, and unless I act a certain way, all of the sudden it's labelling time.

It's not, we are all gamers, and we all have a passion. The 360's price points are GREAT, the system has a fantastic overall library, and consumers knowing all this are buying it up. HOWEVER, Growth has slowed, and it's mostly due to the recession I think, But I can see some consumers waiting for MANY REASONS, and exclusives for 2009 could very well be one of them.

Who knows, jeez. :)

That's why I said, Sony should sell off their 1st parties and start using that revenue on 3rd Party Timed exclusives. It will mean less overall games for Manticores, but that's the only move they got...and of course a Price drop.

On the other hand, instead of comparing the PS3 to the other consoles, perhaps Sony should just worry about staying profitable, and not selling as many units but more making money on every system and games.

Microsoft makes money whereas sony does not. Based on those facts alone it clearly is not working for Sony, and MS is outselling the PS3 in the two largest gaming regions in the world.

I think that if Sony could produce 15-20 AAAE games then it would be worth it, but its not gonna be worth it when you only have 1-2 more AAAE games on the ps3 then the 360. THe consumers thinks hmmm is that 1-2 more games really worth twice the price? Im being generous here too cause im basing this off a positive Sony angle whereas the majority agrees that Sony has more AAAE and better AAAE which isnt what the majority of the world thinks.

From what I can gather now, the growth in the U.S. is a bandaid but the damage is done, according to both links, right?

I dont have a link but wasntt there also a press release recently stating that 360 was selling double the amount of the PS3 in Europe? That doesnt sound like the kinda thing youd be hearing when they had there"worst quarter in 2 years"

The Entertainment and Devices division also includes the Zune and Windows Mobile teams, both of which are readying major releases (the ZuneHD and Windows Mobile 7, respectively, plus the rumoured "Pink" that may or may not be Zune for Windows Mobile), so it isn't surprising that the division had a poor quarter. If anything it's surprising that they still managed to turn a profit.

I think they also bought a bunch of Timed Exclusives we will be seeing in the future. Games like Splinter Cell, etc.The DLC of course is there as well.

I don't think that us gamers should feel that pinch though, or speculate that's the case.

We didn't do that for other gens, like the NES, SNES, or PSONe, PS2, etc.I don't remember ever speculating into a consoles 3rd year that the lack of games was due to other products/R&D. I don't think we should have to either. I think that was an oversight. There has got to be a better, more even way for everyone to win.

That's one advantage to gamers about Nintendo, when they get money, they don't have other non gaming divisions sucking it out to support those divisions.

The gaming portion of their entertainment area is sort of carrying the other parts, and that can basically be viewed as a buy in for MS, now, if they play their cards right, should earn profits from now on, and MS doesn't really mind losing massive amounts of cash if there is a glint of gold in the future. They also have stated they realized they were going to lose a lot at first, but wanted to build the division up and make it profitable and just stay around for a while.

i think the MS gaming division is still in red just because of the hard wear problems which cost them 1 bill or more and they still have to make up for it
