Seriously though, it depends on what your friends have, as you will wnt to play against them online. I would get a ps3 personally due to its lineup but the 360 is good too. gears 2 online will be fun. I dont know about its other games though.

also you will get some people who seem to think that the ps3 has no games, truth is, both consoles have enough great games for you to enjoy. saying the ps3 does not have games is either a lie, or a comment made by an idiot.

Which is why the devs working on Star Wars the force unleashed is priortizing the PS3 over 360 and with 2K with the port of Bioshock saying it opens the door to NEW possibilities which cant be done on the 360. So with that said your opinion means NOTHING. What i really want is for you to go prove how the 360 is better than PS3 in terms of spec. You have absolutely nothing what so ever to back up your point.

You have just proven that you have no clue what you are talking about.

MGS4's native resolution is 720, but your PS3 upscaled it to 1080p. The Xbox 360 does the exact same thing.

Are you joking? The PS3 has more sub-HD games than the Xbox 360.

If you werent so ignorant you would know that 360 could never really achieve 1080p even through an hdmi cable. Its upscaled. The fact that it plays DVD-9s is the proof that it cant technically produce REAL 1080p. Only through Blu-ray disc. You can't argue against the inevitable.

Sorry but this gen's hardware just can't handle running games smoothly in native 1080p. Only 26 games on Ps3 run in 1080p. And lot's of them are PSN titles or low rated games.

See most are mediocre/OK licenses or PSN titles that don't especially look good anyway.

I agree. My 360 format was always on 1080p on my old hd-tv. Every game I had upscaled to 1080p.

Now I have a new plasma with 1080i, I formatted my 360 to 1080i, and my games go to 1080i.
