360 vs ps3 this gen (stats included)

I'm so sick of Casey butting into Xbox v.s. PS3 threads. He always and probably always will stick up for the Xbox and discredit the Ps3.

Every time I see his name in a thread I always know what way he is tailoring his argument before I even read his post.

He refuses to admit he's against the PS3, but so galiantly bashes it nearly every time he posts.

My question to you is: "How can you do this so blatently and call yourself a mod/non-biased referee?????????????"

And then you cry about people not liking you in your blog!

BTW, out of those handful of games that were released on Xbox within the first 11 to 12 months, only Lost Planet and Gears of War appeal to me.

out of the top 5 games on the 360 list, only 1 came out in the 360's first year. So really, in terms of first year the 360 aint beating the ps3 that badly in terms of sheer excellence. This just shows that the 360's first year wasnt particularly amazing.samusarmada

i have a ps3 and i love it i had a 360 and i liked that but it broke on me so i got a wii . If by this time next year the 360 has kicked the ps3 in the ass i will (shock) just sell the ps3 and get a 360. i dont get why people give a toss about what wins if sony and ms are having a battle of systems that will make them try harder for the consumer so imo i think the winner of this gen will be...........US the gamers WOW how hard was that to figure out .this war is getting very old darbyshireandy

I never realized how badly the 360 is whooping on ps3 when you compare thier games to eachother, wow. And considering most multiplats are better on 360 this is really sad.

Don't worry though we just have to wait till 2008, and if the ps3 still sucks, then we can wait til 2009. Its nice being able to play awesome games now and not have to sit around and wait for them.

It seems your memory is kind of fuzzy regarding Xbox 360's first year. It wasn't very good either. And Wii's first year so far has been even worse than PS3's. People need to stop holding a 10 month old console to the standards of a 2 year old console.

The new console should ALWAYS be better... unless something goes wrong. And besided, i think u have a fuzzy memory too, the only THE ONLY thing that stopped ps3 from coming out 2 years ago were the BluRay diods, so the developers already had final Cell and RSX specs to develop the games....

If i can get all the games of PC with all the exclusives of 360 while your waiting around hoping for our ports years later. And 360 has a better online community, everyone has a mic, 360 is far better for sports games, is much more user friendly, No need to upgrade my system for new games, better local multiplayer. Plus i get all the great console games that the PC doesn't get .

But OH NO!!!! You can spend twice as much as me on you gaming rig and get slightly better graphics than me. Im soo depressed, i just think you know there is no real reason to own a gaming PC anymore when you have a system as good as the 360. Give me one good reason other than having better graphics. What amazing games are there on PC that don't appear on 360? To make it even worst try naming some games on PC that are must owns over 360 without naming strategy games. Sorry hermits we know PC gaming is becoming irrelivent unless your part of the niche community of gamers that wants to play starcraft of WOWall day.

I had a blast with my 360 the first year. COD2 is an incredible game. Since I love tactical shooters, I played GRAW for months and months. I took a couple of brakes to play some Death Rising, Prey and Sain't Row...and then I went back to GRAW.

I've had no RROD problems, so it's been smooth sailing from March of 06 ( when I was finally able to find a 360 in stores).

People need to stop holding a 10 month old console to the standards of a 2 year old console.

Cows claimed that it was foolish to waste money on a 360 since a 120 million user base was going to make it obsolete. I don't agree... Comparing the first year the 360 devs hadn't any more time to develop games than the PS3 devs... They all dev'd games within the same time cycle.. So there's really no excuse for the PS3's lineup to be so terrible.

Thats what I don't get, its only the console that was released a year later, they could have spent that time developing a load more games for launch, why didn't the PS3 launch have far more games ready with many on the way. Could it be because SCE tried to be clever with the hardware design of the PS3 making it difficult to develop for, to the point that it's actually hindering its ability to compete now.

SCE didn't so much as shoot them selves in the foot with the hardware design of the PS3, but chop both legs off.

I really wish people would stop comparing the situation to last gen, its not the same anymore, this time MS is pulling out all the stops with 3rd party support. And because its a serious alternative developers are wondering why they should invest more time and money developing for the PS3 with its smaller user base.

I'm not waiting. I'm playing the goods right now. Sure, I'll probably get a PS3 in the future some time, but why wait for those great games to come out when I can be playing great games right now. Yes, the Xbox 360 had a years head start, but so did the PS2. We all know how the PS2 did,right? Now the roles are reversed at the moment. I still had a PS2 and XBox last gen, so I didn't miss out on anything.
